I'll be arriving in Auckland on the 11th at about 4.30pm
I'm going on this trip hopefully as the first of many, but this time as a celebration of completing my uni degree.

I am arriving on the 9th to do some sight seeing in Auckland before the tour starts. I wish those 7 weeks would hurry up! This will be my first trip overseas (about time too).

So how have you been coping with the bad weather over your way of late? Hope that you and your family were not caught up in it. It looked pretty wild.

I've luckily not been effected by the storms, but I do know some people who have lost homes and cars and are having trouble with insurance. Not very nice for them, hopefully they'll get it sorted soon.
I notice Victoria is flooding at the moment, hope you're not caught up in that at all.
I'm staying on after the contiki trip for an extra 2 weeks. My Mum and my brother are flying in at the end of the contiki trip so I can show them around the south island and then go skiing.
I've finished my uni exams now, yay!! Now the count down really is on, 6 weeks and counting.

We have not been affected by the flooding as it was the south-east of Victoria, a few hours from Melbourne. Has been pretty cold here though which is good practice for NZ.

I found out today from my travel agent that Contiki have overbooked the tour on the 12th August departing from Auckland. I am now going to be on the tour departing from Christchurch. Same dates just different departure point.

Was prettuy bummed at first but it will turn out better for me in the long run.

I haven't had chance to check the messages for ages, I've been flat out. It's a shame they've over booked I wonder how they did that. I'll have to check with my travel agent, I'm meeting people in Christchurch at the end of my tour so I hope it hasn't effected me.
