Hey,

So just wanting to see who else is going on the Grand Explorer departing from Auckland on the 23rd of December.

The tour ends in Queenstown, but I went with the option to go thru to Christchurch.

I'm travelling solo and I'm planning on sticking around for maybe a week or two after the tour...so it'd be good to know what everyone else has planned

Im doing the Scenic Southern (anticlockwise) starting on December 27th not sure if we join your tour or not but we finish in Christchurch on the 2nd of Jan and i am staying an extra four nights at Christchurch in the Base Hostel really cheap.. Dont have anything planned for the days i am there until i fly back to AUS so it would be cook to meet up and plan some stuff for the few days if you were keen?

I am. It'll be my first tour with Contiki. I organized flights the day before and after the tour, that could potentially be changed though.

Also my first trip with Contiki, and im heading over to NZ on the 23rd trip 15 day Grand Explorer. Mys self and a mate booked it together but we are easy to get along with so we'll be happy to spend time. We are getting there a couple of days early but come home the day after as we both have work!

Awesome, more people on tour.

I'm arriving in New Zealand on the 21st of December, so if anyone wants to catch up before tour, let me know.

I'm also hanging around for a week after tour, and have to find my way to Wellington - should be interesting.

How old are you?? I noticed you have done a contiki of europe.. how was that?? do u reccommend it??

Yeh, Contiki Europe was incredibly awesome. I was fortunate enough to get stuck with a great bunch of people and a great tour guide, so the whole experience was sooooo much fun. I didn't want it to end, it was great.

Oh and I'm 22 now. I was 19 when I did Europe.

Hey Kez, i guess Daniel answered everything.

I'm getting excited also, i thought i was going to be in a bit of trouble because i have a perforated ear drum, but by the sounds of things it will be all better by the trip. I hope, fingers crossed.

What extra stuff are you planning on doing??
Daniel and i want to skydive bungee jump and everything we can, expensive but i think worth it, what are your thoughts??

I did all of the optionals when I was in Europe and I was hoping to do the same this time aswell, but apparently that's not possible. I'll probably do as many as I can anyway.

I will be joining you all on the Grand Explorer starting in Auckland 23rd Dec and finishing in Christchurch on the 6th Jan. Flying from Sydney to Auckland on the 21st Dec and from Christchurch to Sydney on the 8th Jan. Be great to meet up before and after. Can't wait!!!

This is my first Contiki trip, partly as a reward for finaly finishing my part-time uni degree! But I am also spending 6 weeks in Europe in July/August (European Escapade + London) so hopefully the start of something big lol.
