I'm from Crapaud, PEI. The first night (April 30th) I'm at the Tavistock and the next night at the Royal National. Apparently I was late booking, so it was impossible to get rooms in the same hotel.

Oh I'm from Stratford. Oh wow that sucks, you'll be switching hotels a lot! I guess you won't really be in the hotel much anyways soo it probably won't matter much!

Amanda, if we are going to be on the same flight, we should definitely meet up and travel into London together. I'm spending the first two nights at the Imperial. My plan is to buy an Oyster card at the Heathrow tube station and use that while travelling around London. Where is the Tavistock? I've never heard mention of it anywhere.

Taylor, I guess you found a better price than I did when I was looking. I ended up paying $1007 with Air Canada. When I was looking at the Continental flight it was about $930 from Halifax. The extra $150 would definitely make a difference if you are travelling on a strict budget. I probably could have found a better price if I had booked earlier, but that is what I get for being indecisive on when I wanted to travel.

Yeah I was surprised that flying from Moncton was cheaper then from Halifax. I was looking at flights for a while we booked it on March.27th and I found the fuel cost on Air Canada was a lot which is why we didn't book with them. Is your flight direct coming back as well?

My flight back is not quite direct. I have to switch planes in Montreal. I'll leave Paris at 1:30 pm and arrive back in Halifax at 6:45 pm. So, early enough that I can go to work the next day without any issues. My vacation time is really limited, so finding flights that worked well with my schedule was important, maximizing my time away with taking the minimum amount of time off.

Wow both of your flights are really good I'm jealous haha...I don't get to Moncton until 10:30 at night and then a 2 hour drive to get home. So do you have what your doing on your days before the tour starts planned out yet?

The project I'm working on at work has been really slow, so all I have been doing is planning on what I want to do for the three days that I have before we meet for the tour. On day one I plan to head to the British Museum, Westminster Abby, and maybe take a river cruise. Day two I plan to hit the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, St. Paul's, and the Tate Modern. Day three is the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Harrods, and Hyde Park before meeting up with the tour group for the meeting and dinner. What about the two of you? You are all welcome to join me if you are interested.

Awesome you got it all planned out! Me and Sarah haven't decided much yet, Which probably isn't good since we leave in 12 days. I think we are going to plan it this week. So far we know we want to do a hop on hop off bus tour and the river cruise. She just finished exams this week so she was pretty busy and we couldn't plan but now we can now We really only have 2 days on our own since we don't get there till 9:20 at night but it would be great to meet up with you guys who get there a couple days early! Even if it was just for a meal or some sightseeing! We are staying at the YHA Oxford Street hostel its in the Soho area!

Amanda, do you know what your doing on your days before the tour?

You've got lots of time to plan it out. I just happend to have a lot of time on my hands where I was looking for something to do while I waited for my project to pick up speed. There is nothing worse than having to sit in an office for eight hours per day with nothing to do. For the London side of things I found the VisitLondon.com website handy for figuring out what I wanted to see, where the sites are located, and their opening times. There are more things in London that I would like to see and do than I have time for, so I just had to figure out what was most important to me to see and try to group sights that are near each other on certain days.

Yeah that's true! Well we will have to take a look at that site and start planning

Browen, I'll see you on the 29th in the Halifax Airport! The Tavistock is one of the Imperial Hotels, it and the Imperial and the Royal National are all within the same block...or so I understand. In terms of planning, I haven't done much of anything yet. I'm still writing exams, so after they are over I'll get planning hopefully.

Amanda, it sounds like switching hotels won't be too difficult then, if they are all near eachother. I wouldn't worry too much about the planing. You've got all the major stuff already covered. Now you just have to figure out how you want to spend your days. It may seem like I have extensive plans already, but I know myself. They may change on a daily basis, depending on my mood. Some days I just don't feel like visiting another museum, and would rather just chill out and people watch. Some of my best memories of my last trip were from chilling out in a beer garden in Berlin, getting lost in the alleyways of the old town in Prague, and attending a free rock concert in front of a palace in Vienna. My plans went out the window on those days, but I still had a fantastic time.
