Monica, I understand your feeling about buying tickets in advance for attractions. I actually want to do the things planned in the tour itinerary. I was reading on the board that if you go to the Louvre early in the morning it is quite easy to get in so I may try that on the free day.


Anyone travelling solo on this tour?

I'm also traveling solo Michelle. By the way, what time your flight arrive in London?
I'm afraid i wont be able to get to the first tour meetng in time! I think it's 6 pm.

My plane arrives at Heathrow at 11:30am. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Maybe, if I can navigate the tube system then I might try to go to Oxford Street for some shopping. I'm going to attend the meeting but I have read on the board if you can't make it that's okay just sign in as soon as you can in the morning before the tour or perhaps at the hotel.

Hi everyone! we are arriving 2 days before everyone else because we chose to add the 2 days of london before the tour! We just bought our london eye tickets in advance and are planning to do so for the louvre as well Just to be sure we get to see what we want to see..We are looking forward to meeting you all at the contiki meeting!

Hello everyone! Now there's ony a few weeks missing to our trip. I just can't wait!!

this is an important question...has everyone received their stuff from contiki.. like the plane tickets.. hotel reservations...etc... because I haven't yet and I'm starting to worry.. But if none of you have received that yet maybe it will be ok.. i am calling this week though to make sure they send it right away! SOOOO excited!

Ali, i just received my contiki kit today.
By the way, it seems that we are staying in Paris in this hotel called Apogia. I googled it and i only found very bad reviews. Its very far from the metro and far from the city as well.
I would like to know if everyone got this hotel in Paris and if someone have some info on the hotel??

I just received my packet today and I am booked at the Imperial Hotel in London. Is everyone else from the tour booked there as well? I'm also booked for the Apogia in Paris. I also read that there aren't Metro stations nearby. I was disappointed to read that but I guess it will just mean starting out a bit earlier to see the sights in the city centre. I'm not sure how that will affect travelling back to the hotel in the evening though...

Hi I joined the tour this week. I am really excited and nervous. I just hope I have a good time. I am from Toronto, (Ajax) Canada. Never been on a tour like this before.

so I am getting super panicked because my contiki kit still has not arrived.. I wish I knew I could request it earlier.. I think I'll give it til next tuesday before I start obnoxiously calling them and my travel agent.. haha.. Does anyone know if it is better to buy eiffel tower tickets online or just purchase them when we get there? I've bought my louvre tickets and my london eye tickets already...

I'm so excited we leave so soon!!! hopefully at least.. nothing has arrived in the mail yet..

How fantastic is this - to actually be able to meet the people you are going to be travelling with in a few weeks time!!! I am sooo excited.

My name is Sarah. I am 21 and I live near Byron Bay in Australia. This will be my first time overseas and I will be doing the contiki all by myself.

I too will be staying in the Imperial Hotel for a few extra nights before the tour starts, and I am doing the Amsterdam extention.
