Hi everyone!! My name is Sara and I am from Chicago going on this trip with my friends Lauren and Lisa from Cleveland!! We are so excited! They are going to be in a room together and I'm going to be in a random room, so hopefully it will work out ok! How old is everyone? We are all in our mid twenties and this is our first Contiki trip.

Hey Sara! My friend and I are in our mid-twenties. It is our first time using Contiki, as well. Another friend had used Contiki and gave it a very high reccomendation.

Heye everyone! My name's Meredith and I'm from Ontario Canada. I'm doing this trip as well (just not the Amsterdam part). I'm doing this trip solo; last May I did Greece through Contiki and had an awesome time. Cant wait to do this one!

Hi Meredith! Good to hear you're coming back for another Contiki tour. Did you find it to be very organized and helpful along the way? I am very much looking forward to going (less than 3 weeks away)!!

Sara - I will be in a random room also. I've heard good things about contiki and we all seem to share common interests so I think sharing a room should not be bad at all! Smiler

I'm such a geek but the entire time up until now I was happy to be going. Now, less than three weeks away, I get this gigantic cheshire grin whenever the topic comes up!

Hey Michelle,

yeah last year was a fantastic trip! The tour managers were amazing; very organized, friendly and helpful, bus drivers were really good. All in all it was awesome (that's why I'm doing another one!)

I had 2 roommates last year and that wasnt bad at all. We all got along really well and honestly we werent in the rooms that much anyways.

Meredith,
That sounds awesome. Have you ever done a tour with a non-Contiki guided addition ("+Amsterdam," "+Rome?") I'm wondering if Contiki has a few companies/tours/guides that they recommend to help us in our extension.

Kara,

I havent done any of the non-guided tours yet...I'm sure Contiki could give you some recommendations; there's always the Contiki basement when you get into London

Hey everyone! I hope you are getting excited! I am!! Cool Does anyone have facebook? And are you getting your money exchanged before you leave or when you get there? And what about the adapters or converters for electricity? Do you know where to get those?

Not excited yet; still tons of stuff to do before the trip lol
I have FB but my privacy settings are high so no one can find me but I can search for you...
I'm going to get money over here before I leave and I found my electricity converter at a hardware store, I think it was like $20.00

Hey there! Anyone on the trip can search for me on Facebook - Sara Muirhead-Gould, graduated from Ohio State University. What part of Ontario are you from Meredith?

Hi Sara. I've seen the adapters at Kohl's. I think you have one in Chicago. I grew up in Milwaukee and we had a ton there. Your bank should be able to exchange some currency for you. I know we have a currency exchange desk in the Orlando International Airport and you should in Chicago but I'm not sure what kind of surcharge they would charge you. Hope that helps!
