I'm thinking about booking this trip for 12/29 through the New Year's holiday. I will be traveling alone and wanted to see if anyone else is thinking of doing this trip.

Hi Tanya,

I will be arriving in London from the US on Dec 29 and doing the 5 day London Explorer. The Ministry of Sound NYE event sounds pretty awesome, what are your thoughts? Are you familiar with the two hotels available, I'm trying to decide on the Royal National Hotel or the Imperial Hotel in London, any thoughts?

Hey John,

I'm staying at the Imperial simply coz I have my own room but the Royal National is where the Contiki basement is located so I spose its up to your personal wants and needs.

As for the ministry of sound thing, the only that would stop me is actually getting there and more importantly home. But if we can organise a couple of people all coming and going from the same place then i reckon its a good option.

Tanya,

I'm choosing the Imperial as well, b/c the digs look a little nicer and it seems that reviews were a little better. It looks to be just around the corner from the Contiki basement and pretty easy to get around on the Tube.

Getting to the Ministry of Sound event looks to be pretty easy, just one connection on the Tube - though it would probably take a while. But you're right, getting back would be harder. The Tube stops at night - 2am I think, there are night buses that run but I haven't checked the routes. If worst comes to worst, a taxi might be the last option, but it would probably be pretty expen$ive. But yeah, if we get a couple people on board, then I'm definitely down.

Speaking of that, do you know of anyone else doing London Explorer? It will be my first time in London and would like to have some people to explore with.

Hey John,

Awesome! I will definately see you there!
It's my first time in London as well and I'll be pretty much alone apart from any people that'll be staying on after my tour like me.

Hi John-

I am going on the European Magic tour, but will be at the Imperial a day early- New Year's Eve and am looking for some fun things to do. Are your definately planning Ministry of Sound? Let me know...I may be interested.

Hey Natalie,

About the Ministry of Sound event - It looks relatively easy to get to the O2 arena on the Tube, we might have to get back by cab. It looks like we have at least 3 interested people on this fourm, and there has been talk about it on other forums. I'm down for it, definately. I've always been one to get tickets to an e event before hand, to avoid any suprises, what do y'all think?

I just noticed that I left out the "a" in Gmail for my email address earlier - most people would probably figure it out.

Hey Guys,

It seems like people are really interested in the Ministry of Sound event on New Years Eve. Everyone who wants to go could meet at the Imperial Hotel and then we can head to the concert. We should set a meeting time to leave the hotel before the concert so we can take the tube to the O2. Any thoughts?

Here is some info of the event:
