Hey

I have just finished the European Highlights tour which is just a 2 week tour. It was the best 2 weeks of my life!!! it was a crazy and fun filled trip with lots of great memories and lots of pics. As our motto went, 'We are not here for a long time, we are here for a good time' I would definetly recommend this tour as you get to see a bit of everything as you go to 9 countries Big Grin

If you have any questions let me know.

I am trying to decide among quite a few tours in September myself. 14 days are probably the max number of days that i can have off. 11, 12 days are more fesible (wish i have more vaca days this year).

The places that I want to see the most are Amsterdam, Prague, Budapest and Italy. I have been to Germany and Poland.
Im looking at 4 different tours:
European Horizon, Best of Europe, Amsterdam to Barcelona, European Discovery. And pros and cons & ideas & advise & suggestions?

And a question for ppl who already took the tours. For the tours that goes to 6, 7 or more countries. Do you feel pretty rushed? I would prefer to do a 11,12 day trip in just 4 countries or so but there are very few of those.
Thanks so much in advance for your help. And this will be my first time taking contiki tour!

I've been on the European Discovery tour twice, once alone and once with a friend. I recommend it because it goes to a lot of different cities/countries in only 2 weeks time. Its a good way to get a little taste of each city/country so you can go back and visit the ones you really like later on. This tour does tend to feel a bit rushed at times because you are in most cities for less than 24 hours(you arrive in the afternoon and leave the next morning) but you still have enough time to see most of the major sites in each city.

The Best of Europe looks pretty awesome and seems to go more at the pace you are looking for. It covers 3 of your 4 destinations and it looks like you get a full day in each city as opposed to arriving in the afternoon and then leaving the next morning. I've been to all the cities this tour visits and they are all definitely worth going to. You really can't go wrong with any of the tours you wind up choosing.

Thanks sooo much for your advice travelguy. I would love to sign up for European Discovery, it seems like one of the most popular ones. But 2 things holding me back right now: it doesnt have prague and it is abit too long (wish it was 12 days). Still debating. Thanks again.

Hey Explorer 1123323, I'm going on European Highlights myself starting 20th September. Any tips / advice? Also, I'm trying to avoid staying at the Royal National, so: 1) Would you recommend that I stay somewhere else?, and 2) Are there any good alternatives really close by?
