Hi all,

I am new to the forum, my name is Mykie, I am 22 and I am in the planning process to travel the world next year for around 4 months starting at the World Cup in South Africa. After the world cup I will head straight to Europe (July-September) where I am planning two Contiki tours. One through Russia and Scandinavia and one from London to Athens with the Greek Island hopping. I am also going to the US after Europe. (October)

Is there anyone else from Melbourne or Australia even that is planning something simular as I am planning to do it all solo?

hey Mykie,
im planning a Euro trip around that time aswell and am from Melbourne. I was thinking of doing Greece, Italy, Spain, Amsterdam and Croatia. Most likely i am also flying solo, with exceptions along the way. Let me know if you are thinking of these countries aswell.

I will be going to Amsterdam, Spain, Greece and Italy too. As well as the places previously mentioned. I'll probably see Croatia with family as it is not far from where they live in Slovenia. What tours are you thinking of doing? I am now leaning towards the European Horizon 45 day tour.

well im doing a a trip dec 09- feb 10, which includes a contiki tour from berlin to budapest, but then im coming back home, working and going back to euro in summer. So not doing contiki at that time.

im doing something very similiar to you. i too, will be going to the world cup, will then be going to Malta to visit my relatives, then doing a contiki for 3 weeks and london for 9 days. ill be doing everything except south africa on my own. absolutly can't wait.

Where in SA are you staying? I am staying with the Green and Gold army in Joburg and I am doing it on my own so I would be keen to meet some people from around my area of the world to catch up with beforehand. I am leaving June 8th, going to Singapore first for a couple of nights.
