Hi Guys!

Is anyone doing the Big Apple Explorer tour from Aug 18th - 21st? I'm traveling alone and want to see if there's anyone else doing the same! I'm super excited to check out the nightlife and do some shopping on top of what the tour has.

Oh I'm excited! More people on this trip! haha I'm going as well actually im going to be arriving on Aug.17 at the Milford Plaza

This is my first contiki tour as well and am totally excited to see New York! I can't wait to do some shopping and site seeing.

I'm going to be underage when we go though (I'm 20) so I don't know if im going to be able to get into the clubs. Does anyone know if they are pretty strict about checking ID's?

hm I wonder if we should start a Facebook group? I know that there are some other tours that have them...

A facebook group is an awesome idea! I'm flying in for the 18th at Milford Plaza too! I read a couple of different posts from people who went to NYC underage and were served, but I don't know personally. It must depend on where you go - I mean most clubs won't let you in but I'm sure bars would! And I hear good things about the bar scene. I'm super excited for the shopping too!

It's nice to hear of others on the tour. I've already done a couple of tours and I've been to NY before, though not for a while. I'm getting in on the 13/8 and I'm there until the 22/8. I love NY!! It's got something for everyone, no matter what you have in mind and the shopping is fantastic!! I can't personally speak for getting served underage either.

I'm on this tour as well! I'm arriving at the Milford on the 17th and then I've booked someone's studio apartment from 21-25 in Soho... how cool is that.

Anyway I can't wait it's going to be awesome.

Wow, an apartment in Soho? That sounds like so much fun! You have to let me know how that works out, that's something I'd LOVE to do one day!
I'm going to be coming in probably very early on the 18th, and staying just until the 22nd - then back to work!

I'm glad to see someone else is interesting in shopping Bel, because I'm pretty sure that's how I'm going to spend any free time I have! SO excited for the shopping!

IM DYING TO GO SHOPPING!!!! lol I've been religiously watching the Canadian dollar the last couple of months and am soooo happy that it has gone up! But in realitly it probably wouldn't have made that much of a differece lol

how are you guys getting to the hotel after you land from the airport?

i was thinking about hiring a car service to come get me. im suppose to get in at 8:30pm on the 17th and that is still early but maybe i should just take a taxi? im not sure what to do?

anyone have experience with the airport taxi services? or car services?
