Hey everyone, I just wanted to see if anyone has booked this tour as yet?

We have got our confirmation through our Travel Agent for this tour, so I thought I would be the first to start a thread about it.

My fiance and I are coming from Tasmania for our first o/seas trip next July. We're starting off in L.A, then to Las Vegas to get married!! Then finishing our trip in New York for this Contiki tour, having an extra 3 days after the Contiki tour has finished, then finally heading to Honolulu for 3 days before coming back home.

If anyone is in Vegas on the 7th of August next year, sing out and you can be our witnesses for our wedding :P

Cheers,
Brooke.

Hey Suzanne Smiler

I'll be 25 by the time this tour rolls around and my fiance 26. It's assuring there will be people on the tour in our age catergory and not the whole "Just 18 year old's on Contiki" stigma that sometimes comes with booking a Contiki tour.

See you then Smiler

Hi Brooke!

I'll be doing this tour and i can't wait...keep counting the down the days!!
I will be 24 when the tour starts. I'm doing the grand southern tour first solo. I'm a bit nervous but i know it will be fine once i'm there!
Congratulations by the way on your engagement! It sounds so exciting. Shame i'm not in Vegas on the 7th. Would have loved to have witnessed a vegas wedding!

hey!!

im still undecided as to whether to do this tour or just do NY by myself! i think i might do it and its ncie to meet some of you before i book it!!
rissi im planning on doing the eastern discovery before the tour, not sure whether its the same as yours as it goes to the same places.
im glad we are all around the same age! i think its nice that there will be a mix of people. i like going out and stuff but i dont want to spend every night out drinking (too old cant handle the hang overs lol).
i would love to see a show on broadway, maybe watch a basketball game or something too.
so excited!!

I think Eastern Discovery is similar to grand southern. We start off in LA though but we stop off at New Orleans, and Washington DC which is the same as eastern discovery.

I think you should definitely come on this tour! I was initially thinking of touring new york solo but i have a really bad sense of direction and i know I'd probably get lost! Plus i think touring with contiki is the cheaper option. I want to see as much as possible and the new york explorer itinerary looks jam packed so i think will get to see a whole lot of new york in the space of 4 days!

I really want to go see a basketball game as well or a Broadway show. Not to sure how to organize tickets in advance but I'm gonna look into it nearer the time!

Were abouts in England are you from? I live in South west London.

Nice 1!
No i havn't booked my flights yet, been looking for cheap deals on the net but havn't found many yet. I have a friend who got a one way ticket to LA for just under £3oo. If i could get a deal like that that would save me alot of money.
I wanted to stay in New york for a few days after but work won't let me have the time off! Frowner
It's all good though i'm gonna try and do another Contiki tour after next year or the year after.

Hey...Merry Christmas!
I found a website called flight centre. They do really cheap flights. I found a one way ticket from New york to london for around £200. You should check it out!
I work in Central London and the westend as a corporate receptionist. It can be really boring ad pretentious but it will do for now. Haven't decided on what i want to do as a career yet. Very indecisive!

Hey!
Hope u had a good xmas!! i got lots of travels things which will come in handy!!
i spent a few years working as a receptionist so i feel your pain lol.
yeah there is a flight centre near me. i went in there a while ago and got a quote and i asked them to find hotels for me after the eastern discovery but they never got back to me.
sta travel quoted me £670 to fly to new orleans and return from NY but i have found flights for around £520 on expedia so think i will book it though them and then the extra hotels through sta travel. im hoping to book these in a few weeks. im so excited!! wish it was sooner!
