Hey Auswide, My first time to the USA next May too. I am going on the Big Apple Explorer on May 30th followed by the Grand Northern from NY to LA. Where you from??

I am from Adelaide.  Wow you will have a great time doing the Grand Northern seeing Mt Rushmore, Yellowstone and Vegas.  But this thread is all about the big city!  Times Square at night will be spectacular.  Is there something in particular you are looking forward to?

I will also be doing the tour on the 30th May following up with Grand Northern. Looking forward to this trip because last year I did the grand southern but I arrived the day before, by the time I got out of the airport and down to the Beacon it was about 6:30pm and I didn't get to see the city at all. That's why I am booking in this tour.

I want to do a bit of everything, seeing the sights would be great, things like catching the cheaper show tickets, going out to time square both during the day and night.

I am looking at tours around then as i want to catch up with some friends from NY that i met on another Contiki Tour. Looks like there is plenty of options but they tell me being there for Memorial Day is a must. It's like our ANZAC Day. Will post back if i go the Big Apple Exp.

Hi, I've been to LA before but not New York, very excited about that! I'm also doing the big apply explorer on 30 May, haven't booked it yet, but will do by end of week (if there's still room!?!) and will be doing wild western tour on 7 June. I'll probably be arriving a few days earlier to New York, anyone else doing the same? And if so, are you staying at the beacon?

Looks like I will be joining you on this trip, followed by the North by North East.

I may miss the first morning though as I will be arrive at JFK @ 6:30am (coming from Anchorage on the arvo of the 29th).  Silly I know, but should be able to catch you guys up (was originally booked on the North By North East in the other direction and then doing BAE but it got cancelled...)

I'm also doing these 2 tours with my friend/flatmate as an end of University treat! We're staying in the Beacon the night before the tour but will be up early on the final day of the tour as our flight to LA leaves at 7am! What are you doing between the tours? We've booked in to the Anaheim Holiday Inn for 5 nights so that we can spend time at Disney before the Wild Western. So excited!
Just the exams to get out of the way now!
