Hey all
im heading to the UK for 2 years in april and will be travelling aroune europe for 2 months before start working. Im in process of planning a trip to new york in september as alwasy wanted to go there and only 8 hour flight from london.
myquesiont is.. is this trip worth it?? its $700 for 3 nights hey?? I workied out staying in hostels to be $300 for 7 nights and then do the hop on/off tour for 2 days for $100 and then extra tours etc. Im going over with friend so can do by ourself. Is it safe to do on your own?? what do people think who have done this tour before about being worth the money!!??

I haven't been on the tour. But am planning on going in June. I am traveling alone... so for me it's worth it. Plus it will be my first time in the USA or overseas. I really want to see what New York has to offer. So for me .... the tour is worth it.

I think it depends on what you like. I was planning on doing the Big Apple Exployer prior to doing the New York New Years tour at the end of this year. I am travelling alone but I am used to roughing it i guess. I found that for me it was not cost effective to do the tour. But for me most of the itinerary is also included in the NY New Years Itinerary.
