hey stacey. bad news your missing out on the bay of islands but oh well. honestly waitomo dont do anything, the black water rafting is absolutely freezing and a fair bit of hard work. taupo, do the scenic flight it offers a different way to see things. also do the huka jet alot of fun, also definitely do the dinner cruise on taupo(depending on your tour coordinator you might get a themed party). rotorua if its wet dont do luging, but definitely do zorbing.. and definitely do the maori hangi and concert

wellington i didnt do anything because my best friend lives there. but go and see Te Papa, its the museum and its really very interesting.

fox glacier, do the helihike if its available if not the hike is good, and you dont get to see a glacier very often.

queenstown(oh queenstown). BUNGY BUNGY BUNGY!!! also do the optional dinner. just mind the ice bar called minus 5 the vodka cocktails are a killer. i also did horseriding, a lazy way to spend the day.

if you get the chance to do the scenic flight over mt cook do it.

dont swim in milford sound you will freeze.

overall: fantastic time you meet alot of ppl. but theres alot of time spent on the bus(great for sleeping after a hard nights partying).the tour managers know everything there is to know so you wont miss a thing. pack plenty of film, make sure your camera battery is always charged and pack plenty of warm clothing

hmm. anything else, jet lag is nasty i was lucky i booked a hotel for the day before my tour started. i arrived at 7am the day before my tour and spent most of the day asleep in my hotel bed. alot of time is spent on the bus so ipods, and books are great. and take a pillow for the bus. lol the excitement before a tour i was the same way. have a ball
