Hi Simon..haven't checked the site for a while...hence the late reply.Are you still in Germany? I have booked Thomas into the Bealey's because he is not arriving until latish on the 7th so I thought it is better to be "close to the action"..are you staying in Auc or are you leaving immediately on arrival there? Thomas is coming over to spend X-mas with me and yes, Melbourne does have gorgeous beaches. Hopefully the weather is kind. You all will have a great time in NZ, it is a beautiful place. If the budget allows...take a helicopter trip over the glacier..it is really special!Have a great trip!

I'm flying into CHC on the 6th, but not will be stayin' at Bealeys cause they were way overpriced when booking through the www from here. The So was like half the qoute of Bealeys.
After the tour I will immediately leave from AKL heading back south to Nelson as I'm gonna visit a friend in Motueka.

You must be leaving Europe around the same time.Thomas leaves Munich on the 3rd. You will like the So, really modern I nearly booked it! but was not sure because of his latish arrival on the 7th in CCH Advise me on something..I have booked him in a quad share, is this what you have done? A friend told me the other day the Contiki tours are really great but the sharing was a problem as people come and go at all different times and you don't get much rest.

I will be leaving on the 4th to arrive on the 6th in CHC. so Thomas must have a lot stopovers when he leaves before me and won't arrive before the 7th.
I guess with quad share the Bealey's would have been cheaper than the So, but I decided not to stay in a share room, especially after a flight that's that long. I did not like the idea to arrive in CHC after like 40 hours of travelling and then get into a share room full of snorers… ;-)
and so I did for the Contiki. I think the single upgrade is really worth it's money, especially as my 3 weeks add on stay in NZ will contain a lot of share accomodation where there are no single rooms available around the hiking tracks.
