I'm going to go on the Grand Adventure tour in Sept 07 starting in Christchurch ending in Auckland! This is my first overseas trip, is anybody else going on this tour??!! I'm so excited.....

Hi! I did the same trip in June, only in reverse, starting in Auckland and going down to Christchurch. If you're after recommendations, the Fox Glacier hike is AMAZING! It's 1.5 hours there and back and 1 hour on the glacier itsself, but definately worth it! Also, bungy jump in Queenstown. The most amazing and frightening experience of my life but you have to do it!

Unfortunately though, I was unable to do the Milford Sound cruise (we got snowed in @ Franz Josef, pokey little place that it is). The Maori dinner theatre in Rotorua is also a must. Pretty much just jump in, do everything that you want to do and make sure that you leave with no regrets.
