I was just wondering is anyone going to be doing the check out london in 3 days before the UE trip in early-mid july 2008?
It is another $490 i belive but it will give you two nights accomadation and breakfast every day. You get the discouts on theaters and sites as well as tours of some of londons sites.
I am going to be doing this becasue i will feel much safter in a place i dont know, while being with other people and having contiki take me around to the sites so i dont get lost

I am probably going on the UE in May, but I have some advice from a traveler’s perspective. I was in London 2 months ago, nothing is cheap. Be prepared to spend $$, it is worth it though and I loved it there.

I paid £65 for a ticket to the theatre, you can get deals last-minute I believe. £17 for the London Eye, etc... It all adds up, when I went 1 GBP was 2.2 CDN and you don't really think about it. An average meal can be around £20 if you like to have a few drinks.

There is plenty to do that costs nothing however, I recommend the British Museum if you are into that kind of thing. It is free and I spent 6 or 7 hours in there.

A walking tour of London is an excellent way to see the city and not destroy your budget.

The Tube is the best way around by far, a cab will cost you heaps of $$.

London is surprisingly easy to navigate and I hope this helps you out! There is nothing to be worried about

I can't wait to go on my contiki... I think about traveling all day every day since I got back. I say go for it, you wont regret it!
