I'll be leaving on the 16th of august on a Virgin Atlantic flight at 1425hours. Anyone else traveling on this flight? maybe we can travel together into London if were staying in the same place. Never been before so it would be nice to have someone to get lost with

Like many of you I am getting in on the 18th and then staying for a few days in london after the tour.

Welcome aboard. Leigh & I will get lost with you in London before the tour. We are there from the 17th. Ben has suggested the big red bus so we are just going to jump on that to see the main sites. Also we are staying at the Royal National before & after the tour. Would be good to have a pre-tour catch up with everyone on this forum the night before...?

I think iget there about the 17th or 18th also staying at Royal National

I'll be there the morning of the 16th and I have a few day trips I paid for. The one on the 17th I get back at 7:30pm and the one on the 18th I should be back at 5:30pm in time for the meetiing hopefully.

I'm getting excited now, can't wait to meet and greet all the people on the tour, although I wonder if it is full, as I did book rather late myself and still got a spot.

Our tour is definately a Guaranteed Departure now, so maybe we might be lucky to get a bus with a few extra seats. That woudld be nice when we need to spreadout...Rather than having a full bus of 52 people...! Either way, its going to be so much fun. Only 6 weesk to go.

I'll be getting into London on the 17th and I'll be staying at the Royal National too! So count me in for any pre-contiki catch ups. I am counting down the days until I am soaking up the sun in the Greek Islands...Who's with me!

pre-tour meeting sounds good, I get into london early on the 18th August so I'll be there and looking forward to meeting everybody

A few extra seats would be good, as the last tour I did was full and some days you just feel like stretching out and you can't, but hey a full tour also means so many more people to have fun with.
I'm getting in really early on the 18th with roughly 8 hours till can book into the royal national so am planning on seeing some of the sites before hand.
The only thing that I'm not liking is the 20kg bag limit, its hard to know what to pack for such a long trip.

I know exactly what you mean about the 20kg bag limit...I'm stressing out bout that. I dont know how to pack light at all...I need to be prepared for every occasion...! I have read on many of the forums that black & white things are good 2 pack with lots of accessories to change up your outfits..coz everything goes with black & white. Maybe us girls might be lucky enough to fit into each others clothes, that way we can extend our wadrobe more easily...! Also I've heard that dresses are the way to go for night time, as they are so versatile....but knowing me I'll be taking a bit of everything.
Think I will be doing a few test packs over the next few weeks.

That is exactly what I've been told do test packs and have clothes that can be either dressed up or down. Thing is I'm not much of a dress girl guess i'd better start hey. I've just came off a hell of stressful week at work this trip can't come soon enough!!!

Well its not too long now, ive decided to take a wk off before the trip too ... looks like i have got all the main stuff sorted though
