Hey Vanessa
That is so exciting...! I've been a little stressed bout that too. So glad to hear they finally made it a GD. Less than 3 months to go...its going to be here before we know it.

What have you decided to do bout luggage. I'm still trying to work out what the best option is. Also, not sure if you are aware, but you can buy your sleeping bags from contiki basement when you arrive. They are only 20 pound and then you dont have to worry bout the extra weight on the way over.
Can you believe that there is still only the 3 of us on this forum...I thought more people would have joined. Oh well it will be a big surprise to see who else is on our tour.

Talk soon
Christie

I haven't figured it out yet. On my last contiki trip to California my suitcase was super heavy and it was only a 10 day trip. I do have a large duffle bag, but I might not be able to fit all the souveniers and stuff. I was thinking I pack for one to two weeks and then wash along the way. I was reading on the board that Americans get the sleeping bag for free so I guess I don't have to worry about that.

Have you been planning on what to do on your free days? I think its only Paris and Rome where I might wander off and do my own thing, and while I'm in London I have those 3 days planned already. I'm also pretty sure I'm going to do all the optionals except maybe the rent a car and the water sports.

That's sweet news about the trip being confirmed now! I didn't even realise it could be unconfirmed so I'm pretty happy to hear that. Welcome to the group Matt, hopefully there will be more than 4 people on the bus.

Hi Ben,

The original date i took, i was told was "yet to be confirmed" so i thought with a bit of luck it might go ahead .. not so ..

As far this date, i havent been told wether it is confirmed, but im guessing it would have to be .. it wouldnt look to good if Contiki made there clients re-book onto another un-confirmed tour

Thanks for the welcome .. now we wait and see .. wish it was August already !

Hey Chris
Welcome to our tour...! We are in london Sunday afternoon 17th Aug, so we will be doing our sightseeing on the Moday before our tour kicks off. I think Vanessa is also going to be in London a couple of days before too. Ben has suggested that we all get on the red bus and see the main attractions of london. So I think thats what our plans are for the time being.
Cheers, Christie

Hello all,

Dave's Traveloge was the first thing I read before I picked this trip...I think it kind of swayed me into it really lol. Welcome Chris! I'm glad people are finally joining the group. Christie is right, I am going to get into London around 9am on the 16th and I have a few of the Evans Evans tours or some tours that are from the tour group from the Royal National Hotel website that I am interested in but I haven't decided on yet. I'm definately going to Stonehenge and Bath though, that is a must for me!

~Vanessa
