Char -- good to see another person planning ahead! I am also doing the tour in May. Hanging out for the dates to be released!

Byzza - I am doing a tour of ireland/scotland and wales and London through Topdeck it's a 15day tour.
I know contiki do one as well but they don't do north ireland and not much of wales either.

Cheers
Jess

PS _ nGGz I sent you a private message Smiler

Hey Jess,

Mmm that one looks quite interesting. reasonably priced too.

Gives me more to think about.

Now I just have to convince the boss to give me 2.5-3 months off. That is going to be the hard sell.

Byzza - I am actually doing that tour after this one...

Definitely try and convince your boss - I am having 3.5months off as I am doing Japan and USA as well! Only 36 weeks to go!

Charcool - I have been planning for quite awhile too. How much are you guys budgetting spending money per day?
I am hopeing they won't put up the prices either.

I was actually initially thinking going early April as then I could maximise the Australian Public Holidays, but after all I've read it looks like early May is probably a better option. So probably the first one in May.

Hi Guys,

Pleased to hear from more potential tour mates ...

Budgeting - Im planning to budget for around 100-120 Euro's per day... but there's always the credit card if I spent too much (which in my case is very probable Frowner ).

Post tour travel – the more research i do on Topdeck tours the more interested I become in going on one, but im sure ill change my mind 100 more times before May 2010.

Char & Byzza – where are you guys located?

Jess – I got your private message and I replied Confused

Cheers,
Aaron

Yeah I'm probably going to budget about 100 Euro a day (going to be an expensive trip! ) Still it will be worth it.

I'm from Newcastle, Australia.

Well the boss said that it probably will be ok. Only conditions: As I'm a supervisor, I'll have to pre-plan everything for those 3 months before leaving, and make sure there are no major projects due at that time. But so long as there isn't then it should be fine.

Hey!

Budgeting: I'm saving $20K for my trip (yikes that's a lot of money... $10K for flights and tour cost $10K for spending money which is about 100euros a day)

I'm hoping they'll have a tour around Mid May

nGGz - I'm from Christchurch, New Zealand
What about you? Smiler (and Jess?)

Hey all,
It looks like we a few people who could all be on the same tour which is awesome.

I am from Brissie.

I am budgetting around $150AU a day on the tour - so I think that might be around $87euro day? A friend is on contiki at the moment and he is a party animal and only spending roughly $80-90 a day. So that's good.

Byzza - Where abouts in Newy are you from? My aunty is a school teacher and lives in Newy too - I love it there!

Char - I would love to go to New Zealand skiing one day. my sister just came back and the photos are unbelieveable.

Aaron - I think I added you last night. Is that you - there was a few?

Hehe Byzza, I asked for approval of 2 months annual leave last year, and they said 'yeah sure since you've given us 2 years notice' LOL I asked that early because I'm accumulating my annual leave! Big Grin

Jess - yeh NZ is amazing, especially Queenstown! You should come skiing since you're not that far away at all Smiler

Aaron - I'm from Christchurch (South Island)
I'm doing the Egypt option, without a doubt! Big Grin you?

Today is 36 weeks until I leave.. So very excited!
