I booked UE tour goes to both Egypt and Turkey. the embassies in Canada said you can obtain a visa either at point of entry or from Embassy before your trip.
However, Contiki recommend everyone got Egypt and Turkey visa before the Tour becasue it may miss transfer or hold up the whole tour group. Is anyone who participate these tour has a difficult time obtaining Visa upon arrival? BTW, I am also visiting Prague, do I need a visa for that? Thanks |

I'm not a canadian, but figure you guys would have similar requirements for visas as we do! There's a really good website that has up to day info on visas for countries all over the world (which countries require visas from which nationalities, how to obtain etc) http://projectvisa.com/
I'm also doing the UE tour and I'll be purchasing a visa for Egypt before tour. I've heard it's easy enough to get one for Turkey when you arrive - so I hope that's the case! (Ultimate European 1 July 07) |

amyd is in the same boat as you, but we're takin the mykonos option. the only visa she needs is for turkey, everyone else is part of the e.u. so you don't need one for prague!
we sent our applications for turkish visa by express post and had them back within 2 weeks, so there you go, though you should allow about a month's time just because they make no promises for how long it will take them. good luck! cheers, anna xxx |

I am from Edmonton and going on UE leaving London July 1, 2007 and my travel agent highly recommend that I got my travel visas for Egypt and Turkey before I left and then there is no hastle and hold up when we got there. It may cost a little more to get them here but I think in the long run it will be much better!
Cheers, Paul |
