i spoke to my travel agent yesterday and she said that when she spoke to contiki, they had not sent any documents out that had the Egypt option. Now i dont know if that is just the aussie travellers or everyone. Since andre has his i dont know what is going on!! they are cutting it really close!! I leave in just over a week, and am kinda starting to get a bit anxious

Hey Nic, I'm doing the Egypt option too and I haven't gotten mine either. I went to my travel agent today and she called Contiki, and they hadn't sent them yet. So they're making an urgent request to send them to me.... they said they would be to me by mid-week next week. Good thing, since I'm leaving in a week and a half!

hey nic, I was having problems with contiki also. I was dealing straight through them, and they forgot my airline tickets. I had to call about 3 times, before I finally got them over email. I hope everything works out....just keep pushing till you get some answers. See you all soon!

thanks guys, sounds like you have all had the same problem. I got them.... finally.... yesterday. WOO HOO. Was starting to get a little worried though. is becoming real now. Changed all my money over yesterday and today and now my bank account is not happy at all! Bloody Exchange rate! somehow it doesnt convert well. am looking forward to spending it all though.
Hey, question on an unrelated matter to docs, you guys taking a suitcase or backpack? I have a suitcase but it says you are only allowed one (which is fine coz i only want to take one) but do we get a "carry-on Baggage" allocation as well. you know what i mean? in the book it only says a handbag is allowed, but my handbag wouldnt carry anything but maybe a sports bag or small day bag would be ok? did that actually make any sense?

I got mine yesterday too! So instead of studying for my three finals I have left, I instead chose to look up every single place we are staying on the trip! Hahaha!
Nic, I'm bringing a dufflebag suitcase... it's more suitcase than dufflebag. I think it'll be easier to live out of a suitcase than a backpack. But I'm also bringing a regular backpack as my "handbag"/carry-on item.

I am taking a backpack....thought it would be easier to carry, if we have to walk stairs. Carry on wise, I am taking a small backpack. Hope there is a spot for it to go.
I haven't started to change money or anything. I am alittle of a procastinator, but usually seem to get things done.

Hi everyone, I am sorry I haven't written for a long long time, but I have been busy working and working and more working to some spending money.
I am taking a dufflebag type suitcase as well and a backpack which I will take on the plane and on the buses. I want to ask are you getting travellers cheques or cash card or visa I don't know what to do???
What is the best to take.

I am taking a Cash card (like a debit card) and also taking my visa for a back up. I hear traveller's cheques can be hard to find places to cash them. Hope that helps. Have a safe trip Melissa, and am stoked to get the party started. See everyone in a few days. Safe travels  Cheers |
