Just wanna see who will be booking UE july 13th tour in 2008!
This date appeals to me the most, now I'm just waiting for Perth's travel show to start, and I'll book my flights, and tour.

How old are you?
And which option - Egypt or Greek Islands?

I have just got my travel agent to book the July 13th 08 tour, I am going to do the Egypt option.

I am currently 21 and I live in Cranbrook a small town about 3 Hours drive south of Perth.

Awsome! I'm gonna be doing the Egypt option aswell I'm 19 years old, and live in Perth. You gonna be staying in London for a few days before the tour, and afterwards?

I'm thinkin of having two days before, and after the tour.

I am doing the Greek Island option (as I went to Egypt in Jan this year)

I will hopefully have a few days before tour and I'm planning on staying on in London after to work.

I am travelling to Turkey for ANZAC day then on to England to work for 2.5 months.
I have 1 night accommodation Booked pre and post tour, this is going to be a ball!

Oooh so you've already visited Egypt, thats awsome! Did you travel with contiki, or another tour company, or even by yourself?
Have any advice for your fellow travellers about Egypt? Like what to watch out for, or what not to do.


Has anyone spoken to their travel agent about Visas? I spoke to mine, and he said I'd only need a Egypt visa... but i keep hearing we may need to get a "multiple entry visa".. anyone know???

From what I have found out you don't need to get any visas except for you going to Egypt. You do need one for Turkey but it's available on arrival.

You can get your Egypt visa from the consulate/embassy and it costs $40 and takes about 1-2 weeks to process. Be aware of the sleezy Egyptian men at the consulate I had some offering to take me to Egypt and show me a good time. Surprisingly to them I turned them down.

I went to Egypt with another company. The main reason was that Contiki only offers such short trips that there is no way you can see enough in such a short time. As it is you will spend 1-2 days on a train travelling to various cities.
The trip I did was 3 weeks and it was great....I'm sure Contiki would be fun if only they had longer trips that went to places like Hurghada, Dahab and Mt Sinai.

I'm so looking forward to Greek Island hopping though I have heard fantastic stories about Ios and Santorini...u will have fun in Egypt though, it's the most wonderful place.
If you have any specific questions about Egypt feel free to ask I'm more than happy to answer if I can.

Can't wait to experience my 20th in a exciting memorable city called Rome.

I've booked my flights with Singapore airlines Munket, but gonna be flying straight from Perth so must count me out for company on the plane. When the UE finishes, I'll be flying down to Athens from London with Swiss airlines to start my greek island hopping tour.

Anyone else have plans after the tour???

I will be heading to London in around June to do some other travel with family beforehand but will hopefully be back in London by the 10th, so yeah probably won't be on the same plane going across.

After the tour I'm planning on staying on in London to work.
Would love to hear from anyone else doing this

I got sick of waiting for everyone else who cant save so i thought why not do something for myself, always wanted to go to Paris!
Yeah i dont really know what i wana do, just being there at this stage i guess..

I think im guna stuck around for a wk or 2 after, see the UK a bit/ friends-family, but i no plans as such i guess im hoping i might bounce some ideas off pple on the tour
