Hey again... Ill be doing the Egypt tour - will be going to greece after our tour ends... I know Visa's are a definate thing, but just wasnt sure if we could get them there, but sounds like its the goer (ill put my trust in you phillychris :P ) costs a fortune here to send your passport down to the consulate and back... but that seems to be the general agreement from the people ive spoken to about them... anyway, count down is on... im looking forward to meeting you all very soon

Hi,
I'm from Wales, UK so i really doubt if i need a Visa!!!?
Am doing the Egypt option too.
As for the weather, i imagine it to be a bit like the British weather (****) but slightly better. I'm expecting some sun as we get into May! Especially in Egypt & Turkey!

Yea true... im from Australia, so i know we need the visa's.... I have no idea with the weather - im coming from 40 degree heat down here so im hoping its not too cold up there

It's a balmy 2 degrees here in the States so most of the weather on the trip will be an improvement for me. I'd give anything for it to be 40 degrees right now...

Would anyone like to comment to the Backpack v Suitcase debate?

Hi there,
I am bringing a suitcase as opposed to a back pack. I figure 2 months is a long time to be ruffling through a pack if I don' have to. Packs are hard to keep organised, and there really isnt anywhere to put souvenirs so they won't get broken let alone finding the space for them.
On the other hand I see people's point about the hotel situation. Some hotels may not have elevators therefore you have to lug your suitcase up the stairs. Really though thats a small price to pay I think.
I am bringing the max size suitcase allowed which is a bit large and inconvenient, but I figure even if I only pack it half full, I won't have to worry about where to put souvenirs or new clothes etc.

Both the Egypt and Greek Island trips are listed as full!
Explorer1125398- I'm bringing a large suitcase for the same reasons Laura mentioned. It may be a pain to haul to and from the bus each day but I think it'll be easier to live out of for 47 days...
