Hey Bionda! I thought I'd just reply to your message in "May 2006" in this thread, seeing it's specific to our tour!

I'm not really feeling TOO nervous about meeting new people at the moment- I was a bit hesitant about going all alone initially, but now I'm used to the idea and I think that now if one of my friends asked if they could come too, I'd think twice about it! I like the idea of being independent for the first time in my life and I reckon it's going to increase my confidence SO much!
But, yeah, I know I'll feel nervous when the time comes! It's gonna help having a few familiar names though! It'd be great to do some sightseeing together in the days before the tour! I've actually met another girl on another Contiki message board (http://p205.ezboard.com/bcontikieuropemessageboar- d check it out, it's great!) who's gonna be on our tour too! We've exchanged a few emails and said we'd meet up the day before too- I'll send her to this message board so she can say hi! I think we'll probably find more people closer to the time too!
I'm booked triple share at the RN- much cheaper! And, yeah, that price is fantastic for the middle of London!
I'll probably do most of the optionals except for maybe some of the dinners that don't look all that special. But I'll just decide when the time comes- see what the TM has to say about them and see what everyone else is doing! The Abu Simbel tour looks really good- actually, all of Egypt does! I'm looking for a long cotton skirt to take to Egypt (that's not white, cos white's not very practical!) . I figure that'll be nice and cool while still covering up. I'm gonna have to be so strict in my packing- I usually just about take my whole wardrobe away with me! Apparently your sleeping bag doesn't count in the weight limit. I'm going to look for a backpack in the post ******mas sales, cos otherwise I just own suitcases or big bags. I think a backpack will be easier, especially because I'm planning on backpacking around for a while after the tour!
Less than 6 months to go! (I've told myself I'm not going to count down the days until the New Year!)

Yey, another person coming on the COOLEST tour around! It's gonna be great! So you arrive on the 18th too? Where in NZ are you from? I'm half Kiwi myself- my Mum's from way down south in Bluff. My grandparents live in Invercargill and my uncle in Wellington. That's cool that you wanna travel around afterwards too! I'm really keen to see some of the UK, but I'll be up for anything- planning to be spontaneous! (There's an oxymoron for you....PLANNING to be spontaneous!). I'll definitely be going to Germany at some point while I'm in Europe to visit some friends, but other than that I'll see what happens!
It's so great that I'm meeting so many people who are travelling by themselves too.....looks like the people who are coming with a friend are gonna be the minority! And it looks like my 3 days in London beforehand aren't gonna be as lonely as I thought!

My name is Dave. I'm a 23y/o Canadian guy from a small city in Saskatchewan. I'm starting to think I'm gonna be the only guy on this tour... lucky me :p haha. I'm booked with the Egypt option and will be arriving in London on the 19th after doing a week long self-guided tour through Ireland and Scotland. I'm staying at the Royal National on the 19th & 20th - as well as July 5th-7th (going home on the 8th) after the tour ends. I'm traveling alone too, so I'm super excited to meet a bunch of awesome people to hang with.

Whats up everyone? 22 year old male in Colorado.  I guess I'm the first one on here to be representin the USA. I'll be in Dublin before the tour on May 16-20, so if any of you guys are planning on being there too let me know.  Kind of excited, kind of nervous... 50 people on one tour seems like a lot but I'm sure it'll be awesome regardless.  I picked up the Greek Island option... anyways I'm hoping to have a great time with some great people!

Hey Reion and Janay! Wow... you two are the 9th and 10th people that I've heard from on our tour so far. Liz is right - everyone seems really awesome.

I'm actually going to be in Dublin too, Reion - but I'll be there May 13-16. I'll be leaving just as you are arriving :( I'm staying at St. Gogarty's hostel while I'm there. I've heard it's one of the best in Dublin. After Ireland I'll be checking out Edinburgh for 3 days after that and will be arriving in London before the tour on the 19th.

I'm going to be on this tour aswell, I'm Ashley and I'm 20 from Toronto Canada... looks like I'm going to be the baby on the trip so far lol. I'm also travelling alone, I was a little worried at first but it seems like its going to be a great group of people. I'm going to be in London on the 18th, I wanted to explore a bit before the tour seeing as we don't have that much time to spend in London. If anyone is going to be there at the same time maybe we can meet up and hit up some pubs or something fun like that
