Hello,

Well first off I'll say I'm excited, but very nervous. This will mark my first venture outside of North America, and my first trip outside Canada in about 8 or 9 years (I was really young when I last went to Mexico). Anyway, my name is Paul, I'm a Vancouver Canuck, and I'm thinking about doing the UE trip sometime in early July with the Egypt option.

Now my question: How much should I bring in order to be comfortable while on the trip? I just want to be able to make sure that I won't be cutting my finances too close when I go.

Any help that anybody can give me will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Paul

PS I will accept jokes about the Loonie, Toonie, or any possibility of making the Foonie.

Hey Paul, Good luck on your trip. I'll be doing the UE in March and cant wait! For working out how much to bring, I'd suggest going into the Optional Exursions in the tour info and adding up the cost of every single optional (even the ones you dont intend to do) then also mulitply 50 euro times 45 days (maybe more or less depending on how much you plan to eat and drink). Then add those two amounts together and that will give you an indication of the minimum amount to bring to make sure you're covered. That should give you a base to work on. I hope that helps

Hey Paul,

I'm from the GVRD too! I've booked the July 8-August 21 tour! I’ve also been on a contiki tour before so if you have anymore questions that would calm your nerves; or if you end up booking my tour feel free to give me a shout or add me to msn. Smiler

Also here’s a good website for the UE tour; the guy even mentions how much he spent each day ---> http://www.ultimate-european.com/ultimate.html

Take care!
