I'm looking into purchasing the Italian Espresso in Jan 07 trip as a surprise for my husband. Neither of us have been to Italy, so I really want to make sure this is worth it. Has anyone been on this trip? Anyone going on this trip in Jan '07. Any comments about taking this trip in the winter?
Any help would be great! |

I am going early December but I have been with Contiki to Italy before with another tour. It is very interresting. They give you tones of information and stuff. So apart of that of any comments about this trip, I don't know yet. So if you have any other questions, just ask?

Actually my friends and I just booked Jan 27th-Feb 3rd, 2007. I have never been to Italy either. The only advice I can tell you is what people told me who have been there. Jan-Feb it is cold, but not THAT cold, around 30-40 degrees. The summer months are brutally hot I heard. The line for the Vatican will be about 30 minute wait instead of the usual 3 hr wait as it is in the summer. August time is when all the people who live in Italy go away, so most of the excursions and stores will be closed. I am looking forward to going. Hope this helps!!

I was in Italy last summer and it was hot but not like Greece. The weather was like 30 degrees celsius. So not that bad at all. For the line to the Vatican, it wasn't a big line at all, when we went. It was like 30 minutes. So anyway, I hope that it helps a little.
