I am going on this trip as well. Who else is going and what time do you arrive? I arrive in Rome at 8am on the 28th and want to walk around until the tour meets up at 6pm
No, but I would love to meet up at the airport with you. I have been doing tons of research on this and through tripadvisor. Landing at 9:10 a.m. via Amsterdam I did pay contiki for a taxi to the hotel. Our first hotel is only 2.5 miles from the vatican. The guided english speaking tour starts at one and is 3 hours. From what i have read we only tour the coliseum not the vatican, so if we do not do it on saturday when we land we may be out of luck.
