Hey Claire
I'm going to be spending a lot of time with you and your sister as it looks like after our Eastern Discovery tour we will be staying in the same hotel and then going on the next tour together as well but I'm doing the longer version and looking to have a great time partying sounds great!

Wow you guys! Hooters seems to be the hot spot! Well I'll be going while in Vegas on the Wild Western tour prior to flying to the East Coast so I'll be able to let you all know what its like! (although Im sure you can all imagine anyway!)
Great to see there will be so many of us meeting up around that time! Its sure to be a blast!

Paul wants to stay at the Hooters hotel in vegas. we will be visiting that one when we swing past on the second half of the grand northern. Ive done hooters in N.Y, New Orleans, and Miami, so far. I think Pauls done more. But we only go there for the buffalo wings Smiler

So the upshot of this extremely long post is that all of you are doing the North by North East? I know there is another tour that overlaps so we may all be meeting up anyway but it will be good to know who I should look out for when I start the NbNE tour in NY...
Heather my email is katjay@bigpond.com.
ps - Im definitely up for shopping too!

Guys I have an idea as some of us are going the Big apple explorer I don't know if we will be able to do the Afternoon thing thats planned. My suggestion is that we could meet the night before outside the Beacon as I believe there is at least 4 of as staying there and we could catch up for a drink the night before the tour starts it could be hooters if you really want guys but it's up to everybody
Time is not moving fast enough 121 days till I leave and arrive in NO

Ian and I will be at the Beacon the night of the 31st so I guess meeting up shouldn't be a problem. I think somewhere other than Hooters would be nice. I'm sure we'll find some cool out of the way place to go.

For sure! Sounds like a great idea. Does anyone know what the weather is going to be like in NY at that time of year?

it snows in NY, so wrap up tight.
No, just kidding. Its late spring, early summer so it could be quite warm.
Us kiwis are a tough bunch anyway, so im just taking my black singlets and my gumboots, and maybe some pants too. Dont know what Paul's taking, he's mysterious...

Ive been told by a native NYer that the weather will be sunny but not really hot, at the time we will be there. So Im guessing that it is jeans and tshirt weather, and this is comming from a West Ausie. THough I have to admit Im a winter girl.

NZ is bloody freezing in the South, but you guys are from the North if I am correct.

Heather, i've been to W.A in the winter, and its like a mild N.Z spring, only with less rain, and northern W.A. is like N.Z summer, with no rain. Yes, the south island freezes in the winter, but they also have better weather in the summer too. Auckland has less extreme weather, but humidity is high. But anyway, i digress. Im guessing it will be fairly good, but snows can linger to mid spring up north. Should be clear by june though. Might take my woolley singlet just in case

I've been in New York at the end of May and I found it to be very hot. I shall be wearing normal man cloths. But I do think it would be kind of cool to walk around New York dressed as Duff Man
