I'm starting to get psyched for this trip. I'm a 30 yr male from NYC. I've wanted to travel to Italia for years (since I'm part Italian), but never booked a trip until now.

I'll be traveling by myself since a few of my friends bailed on me, but I'm excited to meet new people. I get in at 11 AM and have no idea at this point what I'm doing that day.. Any ideas would be appreciated. Although I'm sure the Vatican is not too hard to find...

we arrive in Rome 11.50 so what time we arrive at the hotel i don't know but hoping to be able check out a few things in the afternoon before the tour meets up. I guess there will be a few people arriving at different times of the day so might ask at reception how many from contiki have checked in yet when we get there.

I'm from California too! I'll be arriving early in the AM in Rome too. Have you made plans to meet with anyone yet? I'd like to do some sightseeing before the tour starts.
