Hi everyone - I'm 100% booked for this trip. I arrive in Rome on Saturday, Sept 22 at 12:30pm. If anyone is getting in at or around the same time and wants to share a cab or join me in some sightseeing, pls. drop me a line. I depart Saturday, Sept 29 at 2pm. Btw, I'm traveling solo. Last time I paid extra for a single but this time I vowed to be more adventurous and booked a twin. I look fwd to meeting my roommate. I just pray she doesn't snore...lol

I'm solo too and chose the twin option. I'm arriving at 9:30am but I'm up for sightseeing later on.

FYI - I booked airport/hotel transfers thru Contiki at $44 US roundtrip. I researched cab fares and it can run between $40-$60 one way. The Contiki deal is much better.

That's a good price, I'll look into it. I was going to brave the metro because I'd been warned that the cab ride would be too expensive. Thanks! I didn't particularly want to get lost in Rome's underground on my first day...

Hi everyone - I was chatting w/someone who just returned from the Tuscany trip and he said the hotel in Rome is 45min from the center of town. You can either cab it for 30 euros or take two buses. They don't give us much time to sightsee in Rome so it's best to plan accordingly to get as much out of it as possible. He also said the bike ride in Chianti is intense at a lil under 2.5 hours!

My husband and I are taking this trip and we are super excited! We'll be flying from St. Louis via Chicago arriving early on the 22nd... like 6am. So we'll head to the hotel and then out to sight see!

We'll most likely book our transfers through Contiki... I cannot believe we are getting so close!! Can't wait to meet everyone!

I haven't heard of Eurofly. I'm flying with Air Transat. The price wasn't bad ($950 Canadian) for a direct flight from Montreal to Rome.

Ok, I just spoke with contiki...I am on request or something so I will find out in 24-48 hours. We shall see...

That price isn't bad either. Eurofly seems to related to Alitalia and it was $657 US with taxes....I am going to try and get that flight I think.
