My best friend and I are booked for the Tuscany tour, Sept. 21-29, 2007. We've been talking about a trip to Italy for years, so we're super excited to finally be going. Anyone else booked for this tour? If so, I'd love to hear from you!
This is actually my first trip overseas. When are you arriving? I'm flying in on the morning of the 22nd (9:30) so I'll be touring Rome during the day. Probably on no sleep since I'm so excited but I don't care
We're also getting in the morning of the 22nd, at 9:00 and 10:45 (flying in separately). We're planning to head to the hotel, drop off our luggage, and then explore Rome for the day. Are you traveling alone?
Yes, I'm traveling alone. We can't check into the hotel till 2 but I was hoping to drop my luggage off there before heading out for the day. Do you have your full itinerary yet? I was wondering when we actually meet up with the group for the first time.
My girlfriend and I were bumped from the 28th tour as well. We are both looking forward to the trip. We will be arriving a day early so we can have a good look around Rome. I think we all meet for dinner on the 22nd.

Hi everyone - I'm considering booking this trip. I did a Madrid/Barcelona/Paris trip a few years ago and had a great time & met some cool folks. I'll prob purchase the air on my own & need to know what's a good time to depart on Sept 29. I'd fly in and out of Newark, NJ. I appreciate your suggestions.
I think it's best to take a flight that would leave Newark around mid morning so you when you get to Madrid, it'll be night and time to go to sleep. That way you can best get over jet lag. I would suggest getting there a few days before trip starts.
Hi Brian - Thanks for the response but I'm not flying to Madrid. That was a prev trip. I was asking what time can I depart Rome and fly back to Newark on the 29th. I haven't booked anything so I don't have an itinerary to go by. Unfortunately, I can't afford the luxury of staying extra days.

My travel agent looked into it and booked me on a flight from Rome on the 29th leaving at 11:30. Apparently we just have breakfast with the group that morning and we're done. I don't have my full itinerary yet but I should shortly.
