This is my first contiki, and I can't wait! I've never been to Tuscany- did Sorrento and Pocitano last yr with my boyfriend and a friend, but it's just me this time!! I'm going 15th-22nd July.

Cindy- I see you and your boyfriend are going! Have you done contiki before?

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone for a week of wine and sun! 

In Florence, (Thursday the 20th), I am planning on booking tickets to the Uffizi Gallery ahead of time.  Its a little bit expensive (18.20 EUR), but it will let you skip the queue... which, when you have a single day in Florence, will make for a much better afternoon.  I'm of a time slightly after lunch... 1:30ish.  (thinking that might be a nice time of day to be inside the air conditioned museum!)

I am on the same trip as you and also planned on ordering tickets to the Uffizi and Academia prior to the trip. I was waiting till I received the official itinerary from Contiki before doing anything. My last trip with Contiki to Ireland, the tour was in reverse from the itinerary they had posted online. Do you know if we will definately be in Florence on the 20th? If so I will order the tickets also. And I agree with the time and the need to be in air conditioning, it will be extremely hot in Italy during the month of July!
