My Husband and I are going to the 9/5/2008 trip to Tuscany.

We are very excited, too. This is also my 2nd Contiki trip. I did European Magic 5 years ago. I had a great time but it was a crash tour of Europe. Hopefully this trip will be a slower pace.

Hi my name is Josiah. I've never done a contiki trip before and am really excited. I look forward to meeting everyone, except JC 3624. Just kidding Juan. Has everyone else been on a contiki trip before.

I booked this trip a week after I got back from the Spanish Spree trip I took -- that's how good it was. Of course, it's kind of luck of the draw where tour managers and people are concerned. I lucked out with the Spanish tour because most of the people were a little bit older (i.e. 27 and older) and our TM, Amanda, was absolutely awesome.

I've done the Southern Ireland tour, as well, and also enjoyed it, but this is the first time I'm travelling solo...though it might be fun after seeing all of the solo travellers on the Spanish tour. I'm really looking forward to it.

Does anyone know why the Tuscany trip is no longer on the Find a Trip page/intinerary pages??? Have they been cancelled and we just do not know yet?

Hi all! I checked with the travel agent that books contiki tours and he said the tour is still on...This is my first contiki tour...First time to Italy as well...Sooo excited! Just wondering if its better for me to get there the 5th or 6th...What is everyone thinking?

I'm getting there on the 6th -- but if you want to check out Rome on your own before the tour starts, then maybe get there for the 5th. You won't be meeting the tour group until around 6 p.m. on the 6th, anyway.

A friend of mine went and said that if you don't have an advance ticket, you could be waiting up to five hours...and if that's a good day.

Getting the ticket online in advance doesn't mean we won't have to wait...but the wait will be more like an hour as opposed to five.

We'll be there on September 11.

Just wanted to say that I had a great time meeting some of the best people I could have shared a trip with. I'm so glad I was able to spend some time with you guys and I am a better person for having known you. I did get the worst cold I have gotten in a very long time but I'm usually recover quickly and am beginning to feel better already.
