Anyone thinking of doing the "Road to Athens" Time Out Tour late next year?

I need a holiday and this Timeout tour is my favourite choice so far.

I plan to go on my lonesome, when its warm up there; April-August 2006.

Considering the Mykonos resort too......but need to do more research

yeah im planning my first tour next year around june, and so far this looks like the one ill choose. The timeout version looks worth it ...and Mykonos after is definitely on the cards !!

Hey everyone,

I'm andrea, 21 from the US.  I've been talking to Ryan about London to Athens or Road to Athens, and he has me pretty convinced that RTA is the way to go.  Has anyone talked to people who have taken the trip before?  I've been to London and Paris before, but I really want to see more of Europe, especially before I begin a big-kid job after graduating college in May.  Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself.  Talk to you all soon.

 

Hi all, been reading your thread with great interest, I was originally looking at the doing London to Athens now I have been converted to RTA. I went on Contiki a couple of months ago and had a heaps of fun.

Anyway I am planning to go late June/Early July, Why you say? Simply cause it is the best time to end up in Greece as it will be nice and warm!! I also plan to make my way to Mykonos and IOS? I was in IOS last year and had the best time of my life.

Perhaps if we can get 4 of us to go on the same date we could get a discount (I think 5%). So if any of you are planning to go and want to save a bit of money and/or explore the Greek Islands afterwards then drop me an email.

Andrea and I were starting to wonder what had happened to all the keen contikiers.



We were both thinking about doing the tour in May/June, and I'm sure
we'd love to save some money and also travel with someone already with
some contiki experience.



Now that the website has posted the dates, I hope to get some more hits
on this thread and meet some more travellers before booking my tour.

i'm thinking of going on the road to athens on either the 17th/20th june and then connecting on to a 13 day island hopping tour that starts on the day that this one ends. is anyone interested in doing this at all??? i can't wait to go to greece, ah, so exciting.

LexiePie, that is the exact plan I have, I am planning to go on the 20th June trip as it is a guaranteed trip plus I dont arrive in England till the 18th June, I plan on then going to Mykonos, IOS & Santorini, then prob go over to Turkey.

I have a friend who is more than likely to come so if we can get another person we may qualify for a discount, however London to Athens looks like also a good trip as it goes to Barcelona and the Riviera.

I booked my Road to Athens tour plus mykonos on Sunday!  I'm going with three friends and we can't wait. We leave on the 27th June 06, it isn't guaranteed departure but hopefully there will be enough people for it to go ahead!

Im from Melbourne. I've changed my mind about doing a concept tour and
looks like I might do a Road to Athens + either Mykonnos or Greek
Island hopping. I was thinking of spending a couple of days in London
then going on the 12th August Road to Athens tour, but it seems like
everyone is either going in July or Sept for the Oktoberfest...
