Just wanting to know if I have any travel buddies out there going with me from Sept 16th-Oct 2nd. Can't wait to meet and experience Europe with ya!

I will be going on this trip (well I haven't booked it yet...but I will this week!). I'm so excited and it is my first Contiki trip.

I am going with a friend. We are both from San Diego, and we will likely stay in London a few days before the start of the trip.

I'm looking at the Road to Rome for this date but can't decide between this tour and the Med Highlights tour. Any advice?

Hey riptideforce, It really depends on what you're looking for. If you are really interested in seeing Spain and Southern France, then the Med High. would probably be best. However, I made my decision on seeing several more countries during my trip and if any of them really wowed me, then I would go back later to visit them. Oh, and I'll get to mark Octoberfest off my list of things to do cause we should be there for the first day. But you really have to decide for yourself on what really interests you the most. Hope that helps!

Thanks atc_chic. I think I'll get more europe for my buck on the Road to Rome. And there's heavy concentration in Italy which is what I'm after. I didn't know Octoberfest started that early...that's a bonus. Now i'm just trying to figure out the flight. Unfortunately I won't be going to Athens. Man...that George's boat thing sounds like a blast though.

We (being James & myself) are really pumped about this trip!

sighdel: we will be in London a few days before the trip also .. i wouldn’t be surprised if this is a common thing to do.

From Athens we will be making our way to Santorini for a bit more of that glorious sunshine and Mediterranean bliss! we're hoping to find accommodation with the locals in one of the awesome white stone houses..
