Yes i am on the tour!! very exciting and very glad to be able to speak to a fellow traveller..this is my first time doing any sort of travelling alone so bit nervous...it was all very rushed now have to decide what im taking! Are you guys doing any further travelling in europe after the tour? Im heading to UK for a bit after...what time you and Rebecca arriving in Athens on the 30th? we should meet up and travel to hotel together if flights arrive similar times...mine gets in at 130pm..

its so good to finally hear from somebody else is on this tour with us. we arrive in athens the day before (bel from london and myself from cairo). after the tour im heading to italy for a 2 weeks then i will also be heading to london with a working visa to hopefully find a job. how long do you plan to spend in london?

Im from Brisbane and ill be flying from here on the 29th and arrive Athens on the 30th at 1330..I will be heading to London for 2 days and staying with family then i head to Edinbourgh to see a friend and hopefully find work..i plan to stay for around 2 months as i have a return ticket booked for Oct but its a 6mth tkt and i have passport so may stay longer...am keen to do bit of travelling around europe while im there and always looking for travel buddies so maybe something to keep in mind...so only 3 weeks to go...how exciting hey..its going to be an awesome trip..are you guys staying in a 3 share room? ive paid for that thinking its a great way to socialise..do you know the hotel in Athens? we have to make own way to it hey...havent recieved any info as of yet..

Anyway great to make some friends before i get there! how cool is that and your from Melbourne which is great...how old are you guys? im 25 in Aug...

hey all,

well im about to hit the road for a week in egypt before heading to athens. i hope everybody has great flights where ever you are coming from. nic, i arrive in athens at some point in the afternoon (cant remember exactly what time) and i have booked a transfer from the airport to hotel, although apparently its really easy to get a taxi and its only about 20euro. are you taking your phone. ill email you my number so if you want to meet up in the arvo we can.

Some other helpful hints:

When on plane it is important to get up and walk around periodically to avoid developing deep vein thrombosis (or however it's spelled)
Also, drink plenty of fluids which can lessen effects of jet lag.

Bring disposable camera (s). You never know when your camera could stop working and there's nothing worse than not being able to take photos.

Put some sort of marking such as a ribbon on your suitcase to make it stand out. It's always difficult to pick out your luggage off the baggage carousel so may as well make it somewhat easier.

Bring nice clothing for going out at night. the kind you'd wear to going to a club or nice restaurant.
