Hey There!

Just wondering if anyone here is going Greek Island Hopping from August 13th to the 26th? I am travelling alone (for the first time) and I am a bit nervous so it would be great to talk to people who will be on the same tour as me! If you are on this tour please give me a shout!!

My sister (who is also named Andrea) and I are taking this tour as well. I'm glad to see there will be someone else going with us, I was getting a little nervous when no one had posted about it! Where are you from? We are both students from Canada and neither of us has ever travelled to Greece (or on a Contiki tour) before. It should be awesome except for the excessive amount of flying required to get to Athens. I look forward to meeting you, 2 more months to go!

It's so nice to hear from you! I was starting to get worried that no one is going on this tour...people have posted for every other date available but not this one!! Well I'm so glad that I won't be the only one. So you are from Canada?? Me too!! I'm from Windsor, Ontario, how about you? How old are you and your sister? I will be turning 25 the week before the tour! I have never been to Greece before either and this is my first contiki tour as well. Haha it will be a long flight to athens....I've been to Europe before but this will be the longest flight for me! I also have a stopover in Amsterdam which makes ths journey a lot longer. I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end! I look forward to meeting both you and your sister and I hope to hear from you soon!

We're originally from Thunder Bay, but I am at school in Sudbury and my sister is in Hamilton. She is 26 and I am 24. We are going to be flying out of Toronto and we have a stopover in Amsterdam too. Unfortunately it isn't long enough to do some exploring We ended up getting the flight with Contiki on some KLM airline. I cannot wait until this trip, I have 6 more weeks of clinical rotations to go before August so I will definitely ready for some Greek style partying!

That's cool that we live pretty close. I actually went to University in Toronto, but I graduated about a year and a half ago and have been working in my field for the past year here in Windsor. I really need a vacation although I don't know how much sleep we will be getting haha...I probably will need another vacation after this tour just to relax! I almost booked my flight from Toronto, but the flight from Detroit was $400 cheaper. I am flying KLM too (its supposed to be a good airline) so we might be on the same flight from Amsterdam to Athens! I'm not sure what time my flights are yet...just know that on the way home I leave Athens at 5:00 am...not looking forward to that at all hehe. I'm getting really excited for this trip...I think we are going to have a great time!! Still no one else on our tour though...it might just be the three of us haha!

Finally someone else is on this tour! I was starting to think that it was just the three of us, but I guess it's still early. It's nice to meet you! I'm Andrea from Canada. I will be turning 25 a week before the tour and I am travelling alone for the first time. Also, this is my first contiki. I have travelled to Europe and the UK as well, but with my family and friends so this will be a different experience for me! I'm looking forward to it. I think we will have a blast! As for the dates day 1 (Aug 13th) is a travel day and the tour starts on day 2 (Aug 14th). I think that's how it goes. I look forward to talking with you!

Good to meet you too, I arive on the 14th in Athens. Im looking forward going on this tour, its been a place ive wanted to go for a long time. I think i will be a blast, It will be great to get out of this winter weather of sydney. friend of mine have done it before and said they had the time of there life, so it should be great :-) I think as we get closer to the tour we will start to meet more people.

Hey Again!

I received my travel documents yesterday!! I'm getting so excited....can't wait leave! I am in need of some time off from work! I will be arriving in Athens on the 13th..the day before the tour actually starts. I hope some other people will be arriving early as well. Oh yeah its winter right now where you live. I bet you can't wait for the heat and the beaches. A friend from work was in Greece last summer and she said it was sooo beautiful....one of the best vacations shes ever been on. I've always wanted to see Greece sometime in my life and it's because of her that I decided on Greece this year. Where else have you been?

Hey everyone!

Less than a month to go! We are getting into Athens at 1:45 in the afternoon on the 14th. Is anyone else arriving around this time? I'm pretty clueless about navigating buses/trains in a foreign country so we could use some help.

I'm hoping the beaches are as nice as the ones in Australia. They definitely look gorgeous in the pictures

Well the beaches, are not that great in OZ right now, winter woolies are on big time, massive cold snaps, and mornings are very cold, will be very happy to loose 2 weeks of winter.
are you by any chance flying from Heathrow to Athens on the 14th? on british Airways?
How are you any way?

Yes I love the beach, and i will be a beach bum for sure on this trip, Love the sun, the activities look cool to, have not got my pack yet but will take a better look when i get it, might be this week.
