I booked mine on Friday. Anyone else?

I'm looking at arriving the 8th and staying in downtown Athens as the hotel Contiki has booked seems a bit out of the way and also $169 CDN/night.

My friend and I are also taking the Greek island tour from the 9-22, leaving vancouver on the 8th and arriving in Athens on the 10th at something like 1 or 2 am. (LONG stop over in Amsterdam)

When we booked with our travel agent we also booked a hotel room (because of our early arrival) at the hotel Contiki starts at for only $100 CDN...I wonder why you got quoted $169?

So the tour actually starts on the 10th later on at night meeting with your group and tour manager...this means that my friend and I will have a day (if we're not too tired) to roam around Athens ourselves! We're sooo excited.

Really? Only $100?!? I'll have to look into it, then. I'm thinking of staying downtown on the 8th and 9th and then switching to the Sea View after that.

Where all are you and your friend thinking of going? I figure to leave the Acropolis until the tour since it's 16E to get in!

Not really sure where we're thinking of going yet...maybe just walk around and absorb the culture? we haven't actually talked about it yet.

Yea definitely check with your agent, because for a 100 bucks it's worth it then you don't have to go all over the place...

So this tour is almost full and the rest of the tours for May are now guaranteed departures.

Who else is taking this tour from the 9th-22?

I'm actually going with my best friend and her birthday will on the 20th!!! It's going to be a birthday to remember!
