I'm booked & confirmed on this trip - can't wait! It does seem like we may have a small group, but I'm just hoping that it's 'cause most people haven't discovered the forums yet! Could I suggest amending the group title to reflect the accurate departure date of tour, 21 July.

Me? Sydney, Female, Contiki veteran (Eastern Europe, Grand Southern, Canadian Rockies), am also booked in to do the Athens Explorer option following this tour. Oh, am traveling solo (as always!) too.

Hi Cherie, im male from the US traveling solo as well.

I dont think the group will be that small, calling contiki they said that there is at least 25 people but could be as high as 40 on this tour already confirmed , but couldnt say specifically where the exact number fell.

Regardless it will be a blast. Unfortunately i just got a call from the airline and i wont be getting into athens until 7pm on the 21st

I am doing another contiki tour before hand so I will be in Greece a day earlier (and a chance to do some washing!!!)

Yeah! I'm starting to get excited! I have actually quit my job to take this trip It was time for a change, so this is the best way to get it off to a great start.

I'll be in Paris for the week prior to our trip, and then heading back to London after.

I am from Florida. I actually will be leaving my job the previous Friday as well to take the trip before I head back to school in August

Sunseeker - Whereabouts in Sydney you from (my last Contiki, there were about 5 of us within about a 15 minute radius of each other!)

Sounds like we're all getting very well pre-aquainted.

I'm 20 and from Australia but I've been in London for the past month and did the European horizon in may. I'll be traveling solo.

I'm actually still recovering from my last contiki cough (the ultimate hangover no?) which has since turned into some mysterious illness yet to be defined. Hoping to be in top shape for greece.

I was wondering about bedding, I know on the last contiki it was concept and we stayed in mostly cabins and things, but chose our room mates daily. I heard my tour manager say that on time-out tours you stay with the same person/people in your room the entire time.

In which case if you plan on sleeping dont choose me. haha

If my calculations are correct there's approximately 21 days, 504 hours, 30240 minutes and 1814400 seconds left......as you can probably tell I'm kind of looking forward to my first Contiki tour!

@ Shana - Welcome to the group Nice to have another girl on board! Hope you've been enjoying London, I lived there in 2006, so, so miss it!

You are right, the accommodation for a Timeout is slightly different to a Concept one. The maximum sharing will only ever be 3 (and that is only if you've elected to go triple-share). Also, your room mate will be allocated to you, this is based-on whether you've paid for single/twin/triple, age etc etc. They are pretty good at matching people up; of all the tours I've been on, I can't say I've had a bad experience!!

Make sure you get yourself all better before we head off - no one wants you still sick with fun to be had!

@ Sunseeker - I'm LOVING the countdown! I picked up all my tour documents today, started to feel a bit more real now, still have lots to get organised, but, it'll all be worth it! I'm right out near the base of the Blue Mountains, was working in Penrith, up until Thursday last week!
