So I got back from this tour on Tuesday and had the most amazing experience that I never thought possible. I travelled alone and was a little weary at first but from day 1 I made some great life long friends from all over the world.
NZ is the most beautiful country and I will definately be going back. I did a fair few of the optionals and they also were amazing. We had Pumbaa and Richie as our guides and were both really cool guys with lots of knowledge about NZ. The places we visited were all fantastic as was 90% of the accomodation. Awesome value for money but do some budgeting for the optionals, the great ones aren't cheap.
Queenstown was a big highlight for everybody and we certainly made good use of our time there. Skydiving, canyoning swinging, you name it we did it!
I could say so much about this tour so if you have any questions email me at jbutterworth84@hotmail.com. If you are considering this tour, just do it!!!
I'm doing this tour on my own starting from the 27th of December and finishing the 10th of January. I'm doing it on my own and am a bit worried about what it's going to be like doing this tour alone. Do you have any advice for me? Thanks Lauren

I'm thinking of a NZ trip for january, althogh just the "northern highlights" as that is all i'll have time for. I've done a few europe contikis, and I'm wondering if the mix of people is about the same. What would you say the average age, guy/girl ration, and solo traveler count was for your trip? Also where were most people from?
I spent about $1500 not including my optional extras - this was mainly on food and alcohol as we partied quite hard, i also bought presents for people aswell.
The girl guy ratio on ours was ridiculous. Out of 50 people about 40 were girls! Most of the people on it were from Aussie, mainly Melbourne but we had Irish, English, American and Canadian.
It was an awesome trip and I'd highly recommened it. i want to go back!
