The Northern Highlights tous in Feb was Ace. Darryl and Danny were top blokes who made the experience more worthwhile and enjoyable. If you've ever considered doing Contiki but chickened out you don't know what your missing. I felt the same and i honestly claim that the trip was the best thing i have ever done. Step out of your comfort zone and go for it. You'll never regret going over there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does contiki arrange airfare to new zealand from my home city in ontario canada?

As well, will contiki offer any airfare rates savings or hotel savings for my journey to new zealand?

I would like to spend 2 or 3 extra nights before the tour in Auckland if possible? would i be able to get a better hotel rate?

What is the normal weather like in new zealand in march?

As well for newzealand if anyone has ever gone there, are there any good night clubs anywhere or beaches with hot women on them.

Did anyone find there are lots of singles on the tours at all?

How did you arrange the air travel ?
I have to figure out for the Grand Explorer or Adventurer if it is better to start Auckland or ******church and and to get back to starting point to catch a ride back to Canada.
What are the good domestic airlines ?

I too am a canuck (from Victoria) and did the southern tour last may/june!! I was living in Wellington when I did the tour so I flew domestic from Wellington to ******church..it was really cheap, something like NZ$75 each way I think!!!(However I purchased the tickets in NZ so it might be quite different buying them in Canada)
Do you have a flight to NZ yet? I flew with Malaysian Airlines and they were amazing!!! Highly recommend them...it was a LONG flight however, but I got to stop in Malaysia for a week at no extra cost(on my way home)..and you can also do a stop over in Taiwan...
anyways, back to NZ...domestic NZ airlines include Air NZ and Qantas...I believe that I flew Air NZ down to ******church...As for where to start, I can't remember the reason why, but I do remember that most people said that it was best to start in ******church and make your way up north...
There are tons of activities to choose from-including bungy jumps, glacier walk, helicopter rides, swimming with dolpins, ect ect...My favourite activities included the glacier hike -totally amazing and beautiful-and fun!! And the dinner and gondola ride in Queenstown!-you get an extra ticket to ride the gondola the next day, so if you do choose that, go and try the luge at the top of the gondola, it's lots of fun!!
Anything else you want to know about the trip or NZ in general let me know!! I didn't do the tour on the north island because I was living there and had already seen most of it so I can't tell you as much about the tour on that island, but can tell you about the towns ect...Have an awesome trip!!

Hey Ugur, the best time for going to New Zealand really depends upon what you want to do there...if you want to go skiing for instance, you'd want to go around August/September...but if you want to do the water activities and enjoy the sunshine then January is the best time. When I was living there last year, February was not a very good month as it rained a lot and flooded in some areas... I would also suggest doing the Grand Adventurer so that you get to see the best of both islands!!!!
