Hi everyone, i just got back from doing the Grand Explorer of NZ & even though it was my first ever Contiki i would highly reccommend that if you do one you do NZ its action packed every step of the way especially if you are an adrenalin junkie!!! It also has beautiful scenery too & although doing the winter tour we were so lucky & had great weather the whole way through clear skys most days & great photo's too. We had Sophie as a tour guide & she was a lot of fun & we had 2 different bus drivers which i dont think normally happens but it worked out just as great as we got Nigel who was great & a nice guy & then in the South island we had Phil & he was a lot of fun!! They all made the trip extra special & fun with many great memories they added that extra touch that will make me remenise about the tour on a daily basis with their little music quips etc. So many great friends were made & many a alcoholic bevvy was drunk & many adventures gained. Definately great value for money a def to do!!!

Iam doing the Grand Explorer trip that starts on the 18th September with my brother. This is our first contiki trip. Looking forward to it!

I know it pretty much action packed!! With the activities are they mainly optional??
