Hi all,

This was my first trip overseas, first contiki, and best holiday I have had!!!
We started in ******church and ended in Auckland after 14 days.  For those of you that weren't on tour with me, I met people from all over the world, some I didn't get to know very well due to language difficulties, but generally everyone was really friendly,  got on well, and looked out for each other.
For those that were on tour with me, thanks everyone for making it the best holiday!  I would like to keep in touch with everyone, so if you don't receive an email from me, send me one(I may be having difficulties with your email addresses). 
For me the south island was the highlight of the tour, so it was fitting that we spent more time there.  Queenstown was awesome.  The amount of activities available around Qt is incredible(if you go, do as much as your pocket allows, but also look at other options not listed in the brochures, as there may be something else that you may be interested in doing around the area).
The north island was interesting, but didn't appeal to me as much-the area around Rotorua was probably the best, having the geothermal sites.  Unfortunately I didn't make it to the Bay of Islands, but I heard that was good.
We were lucky to get great weather for pretty much all of the south island tour(******church was the exception!).  The weather started to crack up a bit when we got the the north island, but was still ok being a little warmer overall. 
I really didn't want to leave, the contiki manager and driver were excellent, couldn't have asked for better, and my fellow tourers were an exceptional bunch of people, but money and time ran out, so had to head back to normal life!

The Grand Adventurer does sound like a lot of fun, I amd doing the tour in about 22days and am quite excited, just been organising the last minute things. What did you like the most about the tour? Thanks.
