When I traveled with contiki last year on the Simply Italy tour, I also traveled alone. I met alot of great people and got some great friends out of the experience. Hi Kathryn, I am going on the 7 day cruise too pretty much for the same reason as u. I wanted to go to the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. The shopping there will be amazing. I don't know how I'm going to carry everything home. I also can't wait to see all the greek temples. I love greek mythology. What time do u get in to Athens on Sept 1st? I get in around 9:25am. I figure that will give me enough time to get to the hotel, rest if I need to and have time to explore the city before we meet up with the guide. Talk to u soon, Arica
