Hi Guys&Gals..

A friend and I are doing the Oktoberfest 07 next year and were wondering if anyone could advise how we go about booking a beerhall/tent ticket etc?? I'm a little lost as to what to do, I just thought you rocked up and got smashed... Smiler

If your going on the 7 day I wouldn't bother as it is in the first week, less people!
But the tents can fill up. Just get their nice and early, especially on the first day!
But even the most popular tents you can usually walk in and out of easily enough, just try the side doors on both sides one will let you in!

Doit contiki style and you will do it in the best style...might even be tempted myself again this year...any questions just shout

I am also thinking about the 7 Day. I just don't know about the camping.

Plus how far away from the camp is all the action, could I easily stumble my way back to the tent?

the campsite itself is an axperience and all for good reasons too..its like an all day and night party there itself with some crazy people and even a couple of toher contiki tours that meet up!!

its about a 10 min walk from the campsite to the train station then another 5 mins on their to the grounds but we got pissed up one day and managed to get back therer in one piece..anyway thats part of the fun!!!

Sounds like it is easy to get back then, I think I might just book it after all.

I have to convince a buddy to tag along now.

hey guys im planning to do the 6 day octoberfest thing. i have some stupid questions to ask because i really have no idea what an octoberfest tour is, and i would really love to go since my favorite beverage in the world is BEER!!!!!
1. do we sleep in the tent for 6 days?
2. where do we keep our luggage? in the tent?
3. where do we shower?? and pee? (well, i guess if im too wasted then i'll have to pee on my pants........im not looking forward to doing this. hehehe.
4. is it safe to travel Octoberfest alone? will someone/anybody help carry me too my tent when i cant walk or will i just be left wasted on the ground??
these are some concerns that i have for now guys, please educate me if you've been to THE Octoberfest!!!!!
thanks...

love, girly

LOL. Well, when you arrive to Munich, you'll set up your tent for the week, you keep your luggage in the tent, it fits, no worries. There are facilities to shower and toilets on the campground. Trust me with that much drinking, you won't care where you're sleeping, besides they provide you with an air mattress so surprisingly it's pretty comfortable. It's gonna be a blast.

yeah agreed chantal...the site itself is huge and you will end up tagging along with loads of people anyway whatever state you are in. The buses from the fest site run back to the site and if ya lucky will even drop ya off right outsdie where the contiki lot are...You get an air mattress which is pretty comfy actually to be fair, yeah the showers can be a bit busy at times..we sometimes were up at 6 to get ashower still P!SSED UP hehe but thats part of the fun...

There are NO down sides to the trip at all all i can say is book it book it now and you wont regret it!!
