Hey everyone,

I was sitting here thinking about how wonderful this trip is going to be, and I had the thought about the weather. Does anyone know what the weather will be like and any suggestions on clothes.

I have done some googling about it, and it looks to be fairly cool. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks Smiler

i've read up about the weather and yes i agree it will be cool, especially in scotland. I have bought a big jacket from anaconda. Its mostly waterproof to keep me dry and its really toasty. I also have some thermals just in case, especially long johns as the jeans here in qld arent that warm!

I'm in Ballarat Victoria, so I'm kinda expecting the weather to be about the same as here. I need to look into jackets and what not. I'm hoping that I will be able get most of the things I need here in Ballarat, but maybe I'll have to go to Melbourne.

A friend of mine did suggest not to take too much luggage as you buy heaps there. He has been on a contiki tour b4, so I guess he has some idea.

Ballarat is only an hours drive from Melbourne, so it's not that far. I'm planning on heading in during my holidays in November.

I'm still looking at air fares and travel insurance, I'm not hugely fussed at this stage. I'll start seriously thinking in the next couple of months. I'm looking at Qantas or British Airways, unless someone can give me any really good reasons not to go with either of them.

I was able to get a great weatherproof jacket and a 'pacsafe' day bag from Snowgum. I don't know if there are any stores in Brissy, but they do sell online. http://www.snowgum.com.au/ They weren't too expensive, but they weren't really cheap either. I guess I'll wear the jacket again, living in Victoria.

That would be really exciting if they extended the tour and went to Northern Ireland. woohoo Now I'll be even more excited. I'll just have to wait till the new tour dates come out before I look at flights. I wish they would come out with the new tour dates, it seems to take so long. lol

The tour i was looking at was around the 15th. And she said there was no dates around then, so it was either the friday before or the friday after the 15th. If that helps =]
They dates are out you just need to contact a flight agent

Thats fair enough
Have you tried giving them a call or an e-mail. I'm sure they would be happy to help
I know they were helpful when i rang them once about when the prices were coming out.
I think it might be a while til its on the website, since they are re-doing the itinerary

That's a good idea, especially if they are changing things. I've read in other forums the new prices and tours for Europe are meant to come out mid to late October, so any day now.

So are you planning on just doing the tour or staying after?

Big Grin Tour dates are up for next year.! yay

They haven't changed the itinerary any, from what I can tell. There are 3 departure dates for April, 9th, 23rd and 30th. No I just have to choose one.

I'm not sure about another tour after, I will have to look now dates are up.
