My name’s Ange…and I’m 20 from Rockhampton, Australia. Going on the GB & SI in April 2010 also…probably the 1st one that leaves after easter. I’ve pretty much got it all planned out too!! My plan is to arrive the day before the tour and then after spend 8 days in London doing a combo of hop on hop off and some really cool looking tours the Imperial Hotel has - Bath and Stonehenge, Westminster Abbey guided tour, jack the ripper walking tour etc. I reckon I could spend half a day easy just at the British Museum and the Tower of London..I’m really interested in all that stuff. Also the Imperial does its own 2 day tour to Paris with a guided tour of the Lourve which I’m also keen for. As you can see the fact that it’s just under a year away hasn’t stopped me lol. What plans do you have for before or after the tour??

What flight company are you planning to go on?
I'm just doing the tours (great britian and Southern ireland, and London paris with rome extention) The 2 days in between I'm not sure what i want to do yet, I was thinking about going to colchester zoo or something, Or head into london. I also plan to do some washing on that day lol.
Wow your way more organise than i am haha.
I'm about 60% of the way saved. Tax time will be promising!

Nice to finally hear from somebody lol..I kind of just took over your discussion lol…lucky it looks like we are planning on the same tour (15th April 2010). I haven’t really decided what flight company…will definitely go through a travel agent though just to make sure everything is organized…particularly my time in London afterwards and I may spend some time in Norwich as well to visit some family. I don’t mind paying a bit extra though for a better flight…long time to be on a plane lol. How much spending money are you planning to bring? Tax time will be promising!! Lol mines all done and lodged…one of the perks of being a trainee accountant. Look forward to getting to know you before April :P You should chat to Rebecca from the FBook group too!!

Heya Mel.... Thought I’d throw you a line on here and bump up our trip topic. There’s gotta be more of us out there lol. Dates should be out soonish…finally!! So where are you from exactly? This is going to sound pretty amazing…but I’ve never actually been to Brisbane…just to the airport for a connecting flight lol. It’s about a 7-8 hr drive isn’t it…my cousin regularly does it just to hit the Family on a Saturday night lol…KEEN much…So what’s the details for this Europe fair thing? Is there a website or anything? I haven’t really thought anymore about who to fly with or even how I’m going to go about booking. Rebecca has a friend who works a flight centre who said she could do some deals which is pretty awesome. How great would it be to end up on the same flights lol…stopping in Singapore and navigating heathrow alone is scary to me so getting lost together would be awesome!! When were you looking at arriving? The reply about dates I got from contiki said trips leave on the same day every year…so that would be the 15th April 2010. If that’s the case I was thinkin about leaving Brisbane on the 13th, getting to London early morning on the 14th, sightsee a bit, hit the pr tour meeting that night and then the tour would start on the 15th. That zoo idea sounds pretty good for after and laundry is a definate must…have you thought about a day trip to Stonehenge and bath at all. The only thing I’ve bought so far is a travel pack with a day pack that zips on...$300 but pretty cool…it zips down the middle in half so you can pack it like a suitcase…not to keen on top loading ones where you have to unpack the whole thing to reach the bottom..good for customs to I’ve heard. I’ve got a bit of a packing list going already though haha how sad of me….Anyways best be going…done enough rambling for one post….Catch ya lata!!

I'm 50 mins out of brissy. North bound =] I'd i told you the place you probably wouldnt know it.
Well it fair is at the convention centre. No dates confirmed yet as i know of but its in November i know that much. Its held by flight centre though which is good.
I'm just booking mine through flight centre and that is that. I'm acctually almost finished saving. Probably 3 more weeks and i'm all done for the trips etc.
Haha i was acctually thinking about the same sorta dates acctually. Let me know if you book before me and what flights your taking and if its not too much i'll see if i can take the same flights with you.
Well the day trip is in both tours i go on so i think i might give the day trip a miss. haha.
Well i've bought: Suitcases, Day bag, Jacket, 1 adaptor and a few other bits and pieces. I'm going to head to DFO at the airport soon to get the remainder of my crap to go.
Hahah i have at least 5 packing lists.
If you cant tell i'm a bit of a organisational freak :P

I'm planning on going on this tour too. I've been planning for a couple of months now, saving so I have plenty of spending money.

Does anyone have any suggestions on flights? I'm so confused which one to go with. I'm open to any suggestion.

I'm planning on getting there one or two day before the tour, and not sure how long I'll stay after.

I'm from Australia and I'm traveling solo, and I'm kinda scared as I haven't traveled before.
