Just got the worst news ever yesterday that our tour that we planned for nearly 2 years has been cancelled and we were set for a departure in under 10 weeks. We have made so many other plans around this tour that we are restricted with what we can do without losing too much money. Basically have 3 weeks in uk to find something else ? What to do ?

That's too bad! Which tour is that by the way? I would be so disappointed if that happened to me.

That's the worst new ever...I would be absolutly devestated if it were me.

I have some of the Lonely Planet Travel books on the UK and Ireland and they have loads of stuff in there, on where to go, how to get there, prices, maps, ratings e.t.c. Maybe they could help you re-organise your trip??

Hello Kareena, Sorry about the late reply. Haven't been checking this section of the message boards since our tour got cancelled. But thankyou for the kind words. Looks like we have worked an alternative tour in but we will be doing a lot of independant travel as well. What trip are you doing and when ?

I'm glad that you were able to work another tour in, what one is it? Were Contiki helpful with organising you new plans?
I'm doing the GBSI tour starting Sep 6 to Sep 20. I don't think I need to tell you how excited I am, counting down the days already.
I hope you and your girlfriend have a fantastic trip regardless of the mess ups already.
