I'm on this tour as well but I am only doing the great britain part of the tour and not ireland (my travel agent said we do the tour together through GB and then we leave the group who go on to do ireland)
I am however going on to ireland to visit family friends but not to do the contiki.
I am also 24 and a single traveller. Its great to hear from people who are also going to be on my tour.

i managed to get super-cheap flights through singapore airlines - will be landing in london the morning of 23 Sept and spending the night at Generator Hostel in London.

Hey i'm also booked on this trip. I'm 26, male, from New Zealand. I'm travelling solo. Really looking forward to it, but a bit nervous too! Are you guys doing the 8 day or the 15 day tour?

Hey Lauren, I'm doing the 15 day tour as I really want to see South Ireland too. I'm thinking about going on the European Encounter as well, maybe the one in early Sept.
Its great to hear from other solo travellers -i'm feeling less nervous now.

hey i did my first time solo travel to canada last year - was nervous as hell - but now i have the confidence to go where i want. i hope after this trip you will be confident to keep travelling - with or without company! :-)

I'm doing the 15 day trip. Just found out this week that I wont have a job to come back to in October! :-( So now i'm trying to formulate a plan.. i might ditch the return flight home, maybe stay and work in UK? :-)

but i'm dreaming of living & working in New Zealand - summer in Queenstown sounds like fun to me!

Tara, I got made redundant and finish up just b4 my holiday starts so have extended my holiday for an extra week to do a second contiki. I know there are less jobs in the UK then in Oz at the moment so i decided not to try and get work there. But thats my line of work anyways, depends what you do i suppose.
I flew to Canada on my own last year to meet a friend who lived there so i have done the whole flight thing on my own, just not the exploring.

guys, once you start you never want to stop. i've always had my husband to travel with so its not to scary..this will be our 2nd contiki tour,we are also doing the 15 day tour.
we arrive in London on the 19th and are staying at the Royal National Hotel.
its coming up so fast.
can't wait to meet you all.
