Hey everyone! I have a question for those of you getting there early... where are you staying at?? I am trying to decide if I should find a hostel or ... ???

I'm staying at the Royal National Hotel in London.
Or the Imperial Hotel, i think it's called, is also another idea! There both not very expensive but i believe its twin share!

Also they're both close to each other and the Royal National Hotel is the contiki meeting place for tour departures!

Judging by what's been post already it looks like some people are planning on meeting up on the first to go see the sights on our own. As for something to do, it's Canada Day on July 1st so there must be some kinda shindig somewhere :P

Anyways, I am down for whatever, those puddle jumps are just too boring not to have at least something fun planned for right when you land!

I'm staying at the Imperial Hotel which is in the same block as the Royal National, they are of the same chain. And i've got a single room just for london. but the tour also picks up from Imperial only just a little earlier to go to Royal National.

MeganS24,ExplorerShaz, Explorere118154: I'm also staying at the Imperial Hotel the 2 nights that I'm there earlier than the tour. I'm sharing a room with 2 of my friends that are also going on Contiki but on a different tour. I don't think they'll join us if we all meet up earlier, but then again, the more the merrier.lol. I don't know if that helps you make up your mind for where to stay, but at least you know that a few of us will be in the area from this trip already.

Viss(aka Ryan): I totally agree on the Canada celebration thing. I think at least 1 drink to be shared is in order it's cool to know at least one other Canadian is going on this trip! Should be a fun time to be had by all around! Anyone else down for a drink in lieu of Canada day?

Hey! I'm Amy, 22 from perth Australia. Wow its so good to now alot of people are on the tour! I'm going with my sister, Sophie 25. We'll be in London on the 1st so if anyone wants to meet up then we'll be up for it!

I'm totally up for celebrating Canadian Day!! Since there are quite a few of us that want to meet up that day, maybe we should all figure out a time (that works for everyone) on the 1st to gather up at the Imperial Hotel/Royal and then we can go from there!!

How does something like 5pm or 6pm on July 1st sound? maybe meet at the Imperial and then go out to a local pub for dinner and drinks? it'll be nice to be able to meet everyone and get a chance to talk and have some fun.. plus eating and drinking usually leads to good conversation and good laughs

let me know if anyone likes this suggestion or if there are any other thoughts/suggestions on places to go or things to do.
